$14M Ad-Fraud

Cheers Mates

damn
while im trying to hijack at least 10k visitors to my website per month
some people have 100k computers coming to them daily #Lordhavemercy

Their problem was that they hijacked government computers and were targeting the IRS website, those two things are a big No-No.

I doubt the US government would have given a shit if it had just been half a million personal PCs and targeting commercial sites (unless the companies were big enough to lobby them).

I'm sure there are a LOT more compromised PCs in the US used by different gangs to commit mass fraud that they just don't bother about.

From what I understand... the customer would go to some site and the hackers would not change the site in any way... however the ads you see where ads for the hijackers and not the site ads that the sites had in place for themselves. Basically they where using the easy method of ad-hijacking.

My thoughts exactly as soon as I saw that NASA computers were infected. Who knows what other government computers they infected in other countries. Pretty shoddy job if you ask me.
