lol I just press the button on my monitor that turns off the screen whenever im going to leave my PC for a long period of time.

Not accusing the OP but it appears the NirCmd utility, rightly or wrongly, tends to get flagged as a virus. I think I'll stick with the normal Windows routine. Besides LCDs and LEDs don't consume anywhere as near as much power as the old CRTs.
