Few SEO Tips - From Matt Cutts himself

In the below video, Matt Cutts (Head of Google's Webspam Team) explains that Google does not consider SEO as spam and says that - "Search engine optimization can be a valid way to help people find what they are looking for via search engines."

Everything you hear from Matt Cutts is biased towards Google (obviously). I'm not saying don't believe in what he says, but just to not put all your eggs in the Matt basket. Everything he spews is pretty much saying, "blackhat dont works white hats the best." If Blackhat SEO didn't work, then why is this forum here? I wouldn't worry too much about what he says and just stick with what works for you.

Basically here is how Big G looks at it:

Whitehat = onsite optimization of your content (crawling, pg load, etc), basically FORMATTING your content so that Big G eats it up.

Blackhat = most forms of linkbuilding.

The above person is right in the sense that Blackhat methods work, because how many site link to your site is one of the factors in what determines your overall rank. I think many people blur the spectrum of Whitehat/Blackhat, but truth is most of us are doing blackhat stuff. Some may disagree with me, but this is how I believe Big G looks at it.

Interesting how he said "people who employ blackhat techniques, like hacking sites".

That's not my definition of being blackhat, but is that Googles?

Or maybe by associating blackhatters with hackers, he's creating the illusion that blackhat marketers are dodgy criminal types, lol. His way of deterring people who don't know better from looking at blackhat techniques.

Naturally I take everything Cutts says with a grain of salt. But at the same time, all his videos are well planned and worded carefully before they're launched.

Well ... how can I say without offense other peoples ... lol ... '' hacking '' in general is not mean to be an word to describe something extreme illegal ( I don't know ... like someone who simply stole your pocket , or smash your face ) , hacking in general refers at breaking rules ; '' hacking other peoples sites '' it's way to vague term , if someone is enough dumb to keep username admin password admin123 , and I manage to go to this specific site , and log in with administrator privileges and change hes blogroll , or footer with my links ... I`ve hacked hes site right ? ... bolox ! ... blackhat also it's wrong understood , we usually refer to BH/WH speaking mostly about same things ( like content building / linking techniques / tricks and stuffs what can bring for some of us few more points in search engines eyes ... ) ... with what can be more valuable wikipedia for some keywords , than any average scraped site ? to be honest I found on wikipedia loads of articles witch are practically copy/paste from some sources like books and magazines ...

So ... claiming such terms like '' hacking '' & '' blackhat '' for some scriptkidies who don't know most of the time what they are doing wile they use some tools aren't so good to be honest ... Matt looks for me like a good spokes man, saw from him bunch of hes videos , nothing to say wrong about this fella , hes actually do hes job for an evil corporation , nothing more and nothing less , most probably hes speeches are written by some specialist before hes simply shoot this videos ( like politicians getting speeches pre-writen when they have campaigns for election you know ... ) .

Personally don?t buy into anything he says. The evidence always points to the opposite.
