Hey Guys,

BHW probably isn't the right place to post this, but oh well, here goes:

I need to know if there are any BOI accredited agents in Quezon City who can process my first v1sa extension without having to go to the offices in Manila (im currently still in my initial 21 day waiver)

Any help or info would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys

The good thing is I am also from Q.C.

The best part is I "know people" inside and outside the government. Anything you need from the city hall to embassy to senate

ah, now contacts like that Would be useful, I'm kinda wary about any involvement with the govt./police, I hear there is rather a lot of corruption, and being a foreigner i guess I'll be especially susceptible, not knowing how to work the system.

haha no comment on corruption. got no control over that. just let me know what you need and I'll hook you up with a contact.

:focus:

For this thread to work I think I need to find either:

a. An ExPat who is
i. A Blackhat Member AND
ii. From QC AND
iii. Uses a service for their applications

(Not asking much ) OR

b. A Blackhat local travel agent

But if there were any of "b" they'd surely be top of google and I'd have found them. Chances of finding this I reckon are astronomical, I'm plumbing for a category "a" dropping by my thread. :D

Well, I managed to find one, Nexus Travel, and they're only a little way down the main road from where I stay :) . I called them and I've just to drop by with my passport and they will process it for me, I forgot to ask their fees though (doh!) sent them an email, hopefully they'll respond in a timely manner, if not I'm going to need to call them back *sigh* hassle lol.

Thanks guys for all your comments :) Its time to buy another big bag of ice now, the Scottish aren't built for this kind of 24/7 blistering heat, and the freezer broke. bah.

I have been in Manila for the last 3 years. If you want to stay on a tourist visa forever it is easy. Once a year take a flight to BK. I say that because it is normally the cheapest flight out of the country and com back on the next calander day. PM me if you need any tips or advice from an expat.

Thanks for the tip my friend, yeah I plan on staying here for as long a possible and using this method, I have a question though:

Can you do this before your v1sa expires, like a week before, or do you have to do it when it is expiring.

i.e. Does your current v1sa become null and void as soon as you leave the country, allowing you to start the process again.

Also, what extra documents do they ask for when you go to the BOI offices at 6 months, because you Have to attend in person at 6 months (or so I believe). All I did was hand over my passport to a travel agent, and they gave it back to me 6 hours later with my v1sa stamp and certificate.

Thanks in advance, and sorry to be a pest
