Crap, didn't know we already had a thread in his memory. Thanks hybrid

Either way it makes me feel better to have started one for him too. Such a sad day in MotoGP history. :(

That it is.

Do you know what actually caused him do drift in front of Rossi? I have seen the video over and over and cant see why he goes to the right so suddenly, it was almost like he passed out or something.

@ hybrid - It sure is...I'm still in total shock. I was watching it live last night (1:00am) when it happened and couldn't fall sleep all night afterwards.

There's been quite a bit of debate on whether he was already passed out when his tires regained grip (while off camera) which caused him to shoot back across the track to the right so abruptly.

I see what you mean that it looks like he may have been unconcious (in hindsight, I sure hope he was) but knowing the heart that Super Sic rode with, I tend to think he was holding on, thinking he could save the crash until the very end. When I watch the video closely it looks like he's trying to "save the crash on his knee" meaning using his right knee and body weight to keep the bike upright in an attempt to ride out the crash.

Either way, I do feel he didn't suffer and was knocked unconcious (if he wasn't already) as soon as Colin and Vale made impact and prior to his helmet coming off.

Such heartbreaking images
