How blackhat would you go / consider yourself?

hey guys,
most of my ideas are blackhat - the more trickier and brainiac like the idea is, the more blackhat the system will be!

i just wanted to get a sense of how muhc blackhat YOU guys are and are willing to go for ca$h!!

i know this question is a bit difficult to be answered coz how can we measure how blackhat a person is and stuff...but maybe we can communicate by using some examples (not really telling methods but some (old) method that would be of that blackhat level)

For example: would you guys use iframed CPA offer with contentlocking and fake content (not giving anything at all after user filling your offer)?

is this something you guys would easily do or are some of you guys here who would say "hmm thats a bit of too blackhat for me" or "this could be considered as fraud i wouldn't do that" etc.

Don't consider myself blackhat at all. I am not interested in short term success. I only spend time on things that offer me long term $$$. I've had the rug ripped out from under me too many times... I guess I feel like I know better. ;)

It takes just as much time to cheat as it does to do things the right way. The difference is, the latter offers long term returns. :)
 
I am 70% white hat because that is the way you get sustainable, long term income that you can count on. Mix it with 30% black hat techniques for SEO and money making and you get the best of both worlds.
 
and what if you could get a bit of long term income or u could start again with a new account and repeat the process? :)

and what do you guys think about my example from my first post in this thread? how blackhat would you rate ideas like this and would you go with it (if there should be a possibility in making it work long term)?
 
even white hat sites might not be more sustainable than black hat sites sometimes..i prefer the all black hat approach, just not the very shot term ones (like spamming twitter etc.).
 
I don't particularly consider myself blackhat, although I study blackhat techniques, I abide by an ethical code where I try to do right by people. Blackhat SEO isn't a particularly harmful technique, rather its just the automation of stuff that could be done manually. The really blackhat shit is deceptive and often criminal, and that is something I shy away from. I guess I would say I'm just "a little evil".
 
you are just justifying yourself. blackhat seo is blackhat, even though i have to agree that it's milder compared to very blackhat spamming stuffs. However, i do promote CPA stuffs myself, and i know CPA system itself is very blackhat sometimes.

My another income comes from mineral brokering (iron sand, coal, etc.) and to be honest this job is even more black hat. mine owners and also buyers are usually very rich but at the same time they are the most black hat people i've ever seen.
 
I have done real blackhat to the greyhat and even whitehat the best I ever did was with greyhat but I guess the lure of the old ewhoreing technique was as black as I ever run but it was all in the carrot at the end of the stick.

Personally, I love the "blackhat mindset" that comes from clever thinking, but I only put my time into whitehat ventures at this point.

The Mrs. likes it better that way too - less C&D letters to worry about.

Exactly, that's the thing!!! And the more i think outside the box the cleverer my ideas get (but of course more blackhat :P )

it is interesting to me that here are also some dudes just informing themselves abouit the techniques but staying white hat (which could be a good thing i guess :) )

i do as well with this thread ;) i'm a bit afraid using techniques in that blackhat level just as iframed cpa offers and stuff like that and just trying to figure out if the fears are justified (more a fear of legal action than ethical i guess)!

u guys can still keep posting, i'm really interested to see what your way of making money is at the moment: (very) blackhat - greyhat - whitehat :)
 
Firmly grey. I deal in physical products in 'normal' niches, so my only real 'blackness' is in building as many links as possible to my sites. Other than that, I prefer to actually add value for my visitors by giving them detailed info that's presented well, which hopefully builds trust and gets them to click the link and buy :)
 
I have gone very blackhat - lying to people abt a job application and making them sign up to a cpa offer instead.which made quite a bit of money :)

yeah i thought about this or - as ive mentioned several times..iframed cpa offers with content locker or stuff like the one posted here about auto filling cpa offers...so the real blackhat things :P
 
For some reason whitehat ways never worked for me, so I stick to BH. I don't want to go into details but it's not SEO.

I've found some sort of outsourcing service regarding to CPA but i don't know how blackhat they go - I've stated a few months ago in some threads about the lead generating company blah blah and since it has worked for him i'm considering in trying it for myself and making cash BUT

the thing is: i don't exactly know HOW they generate leads that's why i cannot predict to which extent the lead provider is blackhat (I'm quite sure he is at least using grey hat techniques but in some way that yoou won't get banned if u don't excessively use it )

that's why i was originally starting my thread and wanted to know how blackhat you would go for money :cool: ;)
 
I wear a light grey hat...I am too worried that using black hat techniques will impede my long term success and growth. Yet....I'm about ten percent shady. So I will sneak a few blackhat techniques here and there.
 
I go black hat until it hurts.

I then pull it out and wait for a little healing.....
