Loving Google Checkout, way better than Paypal

I was having all kinds of issues with Paypal tons of chargebacks from Asia, ect.

So I tried Google Checkout, First they held my funds for two weeks just to make sure I was real. No problem, after 6 weeks they released the hold.

Now they deposited all my funds in my account every 48 hours.
I don't have to request my funds like I did over at Paypal.

The best part is NO CHARGESBACKS!

They check the cards up front, someone buys my stuff and I'm done.
If Checkout show a purchase and it holds for more than a hour, it a stole card.

They send a email to me and the bad guys, let's them know "keep that sh%t over at Paypal"

If you're selling stuff this is a great way to go, loving Google for this one.

I have not lost a customer to Paypal, but I have lost a ton of Chargebacks from bad cards. Bottom line fast service to my customers and no chargebacks for me.
 
I am getting ready to use Google Checkout for the first time along with paypal. I am excited about it.

Remember, they say their will be a two delay in payments for the first two months but after that they will sent the money to your bank account every 48. Like on auto drive.

Which Asian country from you? I knew so far that only USA and Canada people can accept payment using there googlecheckout and other can only pay.As you are suing from Asia then really it is a good alternative for us.

I don't know about only "USA and Canada". I sold my product to an person from the U.K. today. Be selling all over the world, no problems.

anyone can pay via checkout but my question is that can anyone accept payment via googlecheckout ?
 
You have to be from US or Canada to have a Google Checkout seller account.
I used it when they started back 2008. they improve a lot things since that .
You still can get a chargeback if the buyer report that and they can withdraw the money directly from your back or close your account without notice if there is a lot chargeback.

how do you know this for sure? do you have some kind of tracking system in place? or do you just say this because of you generate roughly the same revenue?

How about their fee ??? if i sell an item 130usd how muh they charge me ? and can i refund the payment if my stock is out of stock ?

I based it on the amount of business I was closing on Paypal. My income is up and rising weekly. I only had one customer ask I take Paypal, I showed he how easy it was to use GC and the deal was done.

I got no reason to lie, it's not like I own GC :rolleyes:

Exactly the same as PayPal, 3.4% + $0.20 but if you sell an item outside your home country (or the default country you set up with) there's an additional 1% cross border fee.

Fees get lower as your sales increase probably on a par with PayPal too.
 
For me a Paypal-only business is a deal breaker.

I'm fine if they use Paypal services only to process my credit card directly. But I will not sign up for a Paypal account ever again. There's always someone else out there who has a similar product and doesn't force Paypal onto me.

I got majorly screwed by Paypal, basically similar to what subigo said about Google. Still out over 500 bucks. And no, I could not get a sensible human to help.

Have used G Checkout without any of subigo's problems for a while, but I realize it has limitations when you sell internationally (I actually sold to Europe and ppl got charged in USD). It's great though if you also advertise on G Adwords as you get lots of Checkout fee credit.

Besides all that, a business that only offers Paypal always comes across amateurish in my eyes. Your own CC processing via merchant accounts isn't that expensive (can even be cheaper than Paypal) and makes you look much more professional.
 
Google is god!

I agree google checkout is a lot easier, and safer for sellers and service providers. Paypal always sides with the buyer, and they love to steal your money for a few months to collect interest from you.

Screw paypal....

i've never said that, i said it's pretty hard to believe, because a lot more people have paypal than google checkout and that is for sure (we are not talking here just internet savvy people who owns an account with every single payment processor, but usual people, just as most likely your customers as well)

it doesn't mean too much either that only one person asked about paypal, most of them won't ask a thing, simply don't buy

i'm not saying google checkout is not good and it's chargeback policy seems to be great which definitely saves you money comparing to paypal, but i'm not sure if it can compensate the missing sales because of people not having google checkout only paypal
i cannot even remember a site which offers only google checkout as a payment option, they usually offer it besides another one which is usually paypal...if you want a paypal replacement - which does not exist as of now - you need to use a payment processor which accepts paypal and those are 2checkout & plimus

i'm not a big fan of paypal either, however telling the truth i personally haven't had any serious issue with them until now, but i'm happy if it worked out well for you with google checkout ;)
 
We should really have a shit list for chargebacks bastards.
A list of those buyers you want to avoid. Who's with me?
 
Neat! I've never used Google Checkout except to buy things before, but I've always wanted to have something other than Paypal available on my selling site. I'm going to try using Google Checkout and see if that helps with sales.

ofc they have , how do you think they can survive next 5-10 years versus google :)? I`m telling you ... google started to become a super-nova like since years , and they will simply gather everything what's important on online business , and merchant processing is maybe one of most profitable things :P

if you are a seller ( well atleast a honest one ... ) you are losing a good chance , and seriously I`m saying this , their fraud-protection is way better than everything else lol !
