How to avoid getting in trouble for embedding copyright videos?

Hi there,

I've recently launched some TV sites which have copyright content embedded int hem, and I was wondering what precautions I could take other than having offshore hosting + domains to avoid legal issues?

And does any one have any experience with such issues having had similar content too?

I've spent a fair bit of money getting these sites up and running, and thought it'd be fine given how many of them already exist and the precautions taken with hosting and domains, but am getting really worried after reading some stuff and was hoping for some more advice...

Am about to do same-thing, not stream TV tho, file sharing movies and other files like that. the idea i could give to u like i read in the ebook and other post, u shld get a host and domain registrar outside USA, like china, Russia, turkey or other country that dnt care abot this things.
i dont think u r only one neither u r not the 1st and the last to do this type of thing. i can send u d ebook on that that point out private host or anonymous in the USA, which u can host and thy wont leak ur INFO out or let u lose ur data.

I would look into whether videos have metadata in them like images do. When I make my pictures, it may not look good to have a logo visibly stuck on them, but I always add my copyright details etc into the metadata of them. Perhaps this is done with video content to?

EDIT - if the filename of the video is shown on the site, left unchanged from the uploaded copy, that is searchable in the search engines for sure though.
