I saw someone reading a paper book today and was wondering how people are still doing that and even on public? I thought those are old days already.

Paper books? . . . Are those the things with hard covers and
pages you turn with your fingers? . . . I have heard of them. :D

Cheers!

Wow, am I that old that Tangible books are "Out dated" ? lol :P

Well, actually yes!

There's ONE good SEO magazine that comes out here in Germany, out of 5?
Then there's "Internet World Business" build like a newspaper, it's good to know whats up in the big business, new start-ups, etc.

Further, everytime 30 min to 1 hour before I fall asleep, I read normal books. If not about Philosopy, then books from investment bankers, enterpreteurs, psychology, one long-tail book, classic marketing, and so one.

Everything business related :)

You need to be educated and prepared, if you take internet marketing serious.
..and I never ever can read a "(e)book" on a monitor, I can't stay focused.

I seriously hope that you're just kidding. Reading a book, for me at least, has a certain degree of sensory pleasure. I like the feeling of a book in my hands, the flipping of the pages, putting my bookmark on the chapter I'm going to read the next day... even the smell!

I still like e-book reader for certain circumstances (my kindle is a reservoir for cooking books), but overall my physical library is much bigger (and more loved) than my digital. :p

I get my books out twice a year, whilst on holiday lounging by the pool, but they always end up getting wet, and they fall apart. Maybe its time for a kindle, but I dont know if you can read one of them in sunlight?

I read about 3 books a week. No way I'll switch to any kind of e-reader anytime soon.

Technical stuff or news I read on my PC or laptop.

I read real books all the time. I don't think they ever will go away!

I don't read as much as I used to but when I do read its always a paper book.

I mean I read the news, forums, work related ebooks online but if its an actual book no fucking way I'm going to read it on my monitor or that kindle bs.

Getting my motorola xoom soonish. It'll provide the necessary reading. I don't like normal books simply cus they weight and it's easier to keep order on a pc.

But amazon's software for their ebooks is fucking queer.

Yes you can read a Kindle in sunlight fine. There is no glare. I own a Kindle DX. I love paper books but they are a hassle when I move houses. I only have the books I really need to have at hand all times in hard copy. The rest are digital. Still, I own a lot of paper copy books! I love books.

yea i read real books lol but i also try to get them for free online in pdf etc. if i can.

I move all the time (on average a new city ever 1-2 years) and I love having books. It gives me something to put on shelves until I acquire new things when I first move in :D

The problem with paper books is that you cannot get them for free. An eBook reader easily pays for itself just for the classic books that are available for free. And even more if you torrent new books.

I guess I am old school :D, as I much prefer paper books to any other format. Still read pdfs though, as there are plenty on here!
