All thee of my accounts has gotten hacked. Someone logged into my BHW account and changed the password and email (I have a clue as to who it is) so I cannot recover it. Worst/Best part is I found my old email and was able to recover this account that im currently making this post with but I cannot even PM an admin to let them know my original account has gotten hacked because I do not have 15 post yet. So for all I know someone can be posting on behalf of me and tricking others unsuspecting users and possibly gain there information.

Im assuming this same someone also gained access to my AlertPay account and since it is still tied to my email I received updates showing that someone tried to withdraw $450 out of my bank account to my aletpay.

Then the prick got into my moneybrokers account and changed the email to: (cant post emails yet) and my password and then tried to withdraw $1200.

I used FAKE info on all of them so they get NOTHING. But the nerve of some people.... anyway hopefully a mod or someone can help recover my old account or at least ban that account because there no telling what can be done with it...

never use the same password for accs, especially not on forums

It's very important to make sure accounts which have access to money, like paypal and alertpay, have unique passwords so if 1 account get hacked at least the rest are safe. I recently had a similar situation so I know what it's like.

Your right, but the thing is some how he rested the password without even accessing the email... All of my accounts had different passwords to begin with and require you to click a link to validate password changes ... Im still checking to make sure no trojan was installed on my PC but IDK how this person gained access in the first place... I mean damn I thought to reset a moneybrokers account you need a persons birthday? Well they still manged to change it...

O well im just greatful I did not enter my real banking info or I would be beyond screwed rigjt now...

They all had different passwords, the person managed to change the password for each account..

You can usually find one of the mods on Irc.

Use something like lastpass and you'll never have that problem again (if you use it right)

Stop downing, and running random software :P

That'll cut nearly ALL of your Problems out .... If you must run something "untrusted", use Sandboxie or a VM environment :P

Agreed. Sandboxie is nifty and easy for newbies to use

Man, I hate that for you. My best suggestion is like the others, check your PC and keep everything sand boxed.

I remember this incident on that hackforums that a guy here was hacked by a moderator lol.

Yea, I just went ahead and reformatted.. The programs detected nothing... Seems like all he (hacker) did was got the master password file from my browser and logged into all my accounts to change the password... He even hacked one of my websites and affiliate network account..

Im not 100% sure who it was so im not gonna really put anyone out there. He didn't get away with anything so I just left it alone..

Before you got hacked were you using RDP by any chance? Also are you using firefox as your browser?

Anyway, reformat your pc just to be on the safe side. With a fresh install of windows I recommend you install sandboxie on your pc and from now on run all your programs through sandboxie so if your PC ever get compromised (say through a browser exploit or something) they will be stuck in that sandboxed environment and it will not be much they can do. Also once you do a fresh install you really should install the "last pass" program since it stores all your passwords in an encrypted file and makes it really difficult for someone to crack..

I have implemented these tactics and I haven't had any trouble since then.
