Freelance (dot) com has turned out to steal users money.
There is a 5$ refundable fee when you post a project and apparently from last week its not refundable.
They changed this policy and didn't inform users.
I spoke to Zeus in the live chat who was a dick head. He said "I am sorry for not letting you know the policy changed" aka "I am sorry for stealing for $5 but this is how we work"

'A' Holes !!!!

I hate burning $ like this, wish it had gone for a good cause. !

Freelance Scam !

i posted an offer there and they wanted 100$ because its "fulltime" they took my 5$ and deleted my post

5$ for buyer
and 3% for provider
10% on top of that for providers

Freelancer is Scam

leave money in your account and they will take it also. I have like $12 sitting there and they take $5 when you don't use the account for 180 days or something like that. Moved to odesk.com and not worry about it

I withdraw all my money and I won't be using it anymore. F*** them, there are plenty other freelance portals.

Withdrawing money will take 15 days to reach paypal..
Man Freelance BIG SCAM and steals money silently .

Hey all I didn't know where to post this question.

I hired a guy in New Zealand to do some magento work for me and it looks like after i sent him $750.00 through western union he hasn't contacted me since.

You know of anything i can do about this?

I found him on freelancer

Lol you just got scammed.

Never use Western Union unless the service has already been supplied and in your control.

Use a secure payment gateway that is either reversable in case of fraud or that won't clear the funds until both parties are satisfied work is complete.
