Question about a tv show site

I had a TV show site with exacttvshowname.net and i was doing great in the last 3 months for my standards ( I am learning ) I ranked great, got great searches nad clicks etc. But then, all of a sudden I got an email from a law firm saying they were the lawyers of the TV show people and they want me to cease and desist. I took down the site as soon as I got the email and the mail ( i got one posted to my address ) for I did not want any trouble. But I do not have the episodes on my server. But I was worried about the trademark laws since I was using the exact show name for my domain.

Any insights ?

If it was the exact show name then you have absolutely no comeback. Forget about it and move on.

That is the problem with copyrighted sites..

Blackhatter love them... because they rank super quick... no competition... because the lawyers get rid of it for you...

but they get taken away...sooner or later....

so just move on... and start over..

i would register it with internet.bs and gt offshore hosting. you dont have to provide internet.bs with real information.

Well .. i just noticed that watchtvshowname.com is available. Should I register and add my previous content here or should i just let go of the tv show totally ?

I mean after all the law firm notices and stuff , would it still be a trademark violation to use the showname in the domain at all ?

If you have already been served a C&D for that show then I would start looking for a new show... Preferably by a different production company/tv network.

Yeah it's best to just move on in this case. Start fresh with a new site. Good luck!
