Someone copied my entire website (my WH business). Is there anyway to get it off Internet? As it is now I'm facing duplicate content penalties and also risking that they are trying to get our clients to buy form them instead and not deliver any services, which will hurt my business. This is kind of serious since it's what I am making my living from, it's what putting food on my families table and also on my employees table.

What is there to do??

You WONT be penalize by duplicate content, dont be paranoid.
Noone has the right to copy your site and so exercise your legal right, contact that dumbass and tell him the legalities or do some scare tactic. If you can talk to him and ask him nicely, it would be better. If he doesnt listen and has no plans of taking his site down, FUCK HIM UP. Get his site banned or fuck up his off-site seo.

I don't think Google is penalizing you. If your content was original in the first place, this means your pseudo competitor is copying things from you, meaning that a duplicate penalty, if any, will fall upon them.

If you have a list of your clients' email, send them a detailed letter (not too boring) explaining that some other website is impersonating your business and encourage them to report it to whatever authority you can think of.

you could report this guy to his hostguys or registrar. Use domaintools.com to find out all the information.

Try to shut him down ... or do some BH things with his domain ... so that he gets banned from the SEs.

you could list his domain at a link broker .. then report his domain to google by showing he purchased a link to boost his ranking and fake link juicy.

And just for a day or two I gave the advice to another forum member to not try to get a competitor kicked out form the search engines due to that it hurts too much if taking their possibility to make money away. Guess it doesn't count this time. Like he was my competitor anyway??

First I need to figure out if they are trying to scam our clients like selling services and products imposting to be my company.

I am running a travel agency and if someone have bought tickets form the they will most likely not notice that they have bought crap until they are on the airport for checking in. That's cruel for them who are expecting some nice day's in the sun... That wouldn't be my problem, except that it might hurt my company name and reputition. It might hit back on us so I need at least to take some dumps of the site and collect some registrar info etc so I can keep my back free if things goes wrong and if people start to fill lawsuits against me.

When that is done I will for sure get to him. In other words.. I will go home and start hunting him down and most likely tomorrow I have what I need to start taking down his business.

Use do*main*tools.c0m to gather a nice list of his sites and then send him an email and tell him to remove the duplicate site or else you will pull a plug on all of his sites, which Harro could do for you with xrumer

Send his host and registrant an email and send the guy an email telling him you contacted his host and registrant. Tell him if he does not take down the site all of his sites will be taken down and give him a list of all his sites. Tell him you will be filing a DMCA also.

Dude, all you have to do is contact the host and they'll take it down 99 times out of 100. As far as dupe content penalty is concerned, you only have to be worried if his site is considered more authoritative than yours. Contrary to what seems like popular belief here, the first one to have the content isn't necessarily the one that will win out - it's the site that's got the track record of being a more valuable resource to searchers in Google's eyes. I can't speculate on how Yahoo and/or MSN react because, well...I rarely pay attention to them. But I am certain that the more authoritative site wins out over the original displayer of content.

Be careful where you wiz, you do not want to hose the offercloak server.
