The bailout didn't and would never help the "average" American. You really think they are concerned that YOU get a car loan? lol. The bailout had nothing to do with actually fixing anything. Do you really think the "delay" caused any problem? Like they were going to spend $350 billion today but didnt get a chance to write the check?
lol

I consider myself very lucky because I sold my mutual funds before all this mess. The reason for selling was because I was thinking of investing in stocks but I was too lazy to open up an investment account until like a week before the stock plunged. I was like phew....

thank god for laziness.

Jan 2009 will be good time to reinvest in market IMO. Usually between oct-jan the markets decline anyway, great time to invest.

Here's my economic recovery plan ---

1.) Fed backs every major credit company (mortgage, insurance, etc)
2.) Wipe everyone's accounts back to zero except their mortgages - If you bought
a house and you don't have a job you deserve to lose it! shyaaa!
3.) Send every American over 18 a new $15000 Gold Card just in time for Christmas

Remember, when you see the market go up it's just manipulation by the market makers to sell you worthless paper...

Good luck everybody!

This market crash is a dream come true for the smart buy and hold investors. If they haven't already done so, they will start buying shares in small increments and steadily increase their investments as the market bottoms and stabilizes and in two to ten years they'll be a few million, or billion richer.

The rest of us dumb smucks that live from payday to payday will probably never get a chance to pick up solid companies at fire sale prices. Instead, we'll all start buying at the market highs just about the time the people who are starting to buy now are selling off their holdings. That's why they are the smart money and most everyone else is the stupid money.
