problems loading bhw? anyone else ...

Guys,

For the last 18 months been reading BHW without any problems and even have it as my ie homepage.

2 days ago it started NOT loading (all other sites were fine).
If i opened a seperate/new tab and pasted the url it loaded but slow.

This was all on ie 8

Just updated to ie 9 and getting the same problems?

Not loading as my homepage? so i need to open a new tab ... ???
When i try and navagate around the forums it takes ages to load?

WTF .... Even tried cleaning the history/cookies with ccleaner but still loading like crap? any ideas ...

Happening to me too, if it makes you feel any better.

Probably some server issues.

On BHW and using IE? Try a browser that doesn't suck quite as hard.

I'm loading pages fine right now, but occasionally BHW has its hiccups for me. It usually happens for just a few minutes and everything becomes very laggy, but it shortly regains its functionality so I've never really worried about it.

Laggy .... how about just not loading full stop!
really pissing me off now!

I noticed it earlier but since then it's been ok, I'm UK using opera.

I started using a VPN with server in Germany and ever since the forum loads just fine

still the same for me ... no 404's just takes a age to load !!!!

I have simillar problems once in a while. Maybe servers are just overloaded.

The loading problem could be because of the DDOS Protection. it could be that you opened a lot of tabs of the forum. that mean that you made a lot of HTTP Request and the DDOS Protection thought your request is some kind of attack and blocked you.

just an asumptation anyways this is my 2 cent..

Our Admins do this to block DDOS Attacks. Till Yesterday i used Cyberghost VPN to access BHW. But now it all loads fine even without a VPN. I think our Admins are Blocking Requests from Certain countries to access the forum.
