I am interested in outsourcing aspects of my SEO to oDesk. Has anyone else here ever done that? If so, what has been your experience? What are the best types of things to outsource to oDesk?

Hi,

You can outsource a lot to odesk. Pretty much anything you want. Anything seo related and you will get a lot of applicants. Be firm with them as I have had a worker working full time for me before but while working for me he applied to another job opening I posted. And he was getting paid for 5 hours per day but was only giving me work which looked like it took him one hour tops. So this guy clearly was ripping me off. Get them to allow you to view them on teamviewer while they are working. Also get them to install a screenshot program which takes screens and uploads to your server.

one of the best imo. You'll find lots of professionals if you look hard enough and the interface is really clean and easy to use. Odesk has lots of features other outsourcing sites like freelancer just don't have. It's my go to source.

I've got to agree, they're the best in the field by far, and they're not crazy expensive either.

What types of work are you outsourcing to oDesk?

I recently paid a guy to start building backlinks for me, but he was just sitting at his computer building crappy forum profiles. Why would I want to pay someone to sit there and do that when I can just blast them out by the thousands using XRumer?

If you are looking to outsource link building to sites like oDesk then you get what you pay for.
The only link building you can get there is profile, forum postings, blog comments and directory submissions. Will this take you to #1? Probably not. Is this a part of an SEO plan? Probably yes.

There are many crappy providers on odesk but you can find some good people. Screen them. But if you think they will take you to first page (which most of them will promise), then forget it.
I spent a lot of money in oDesk on SEO and I know what I am talking about.
