QR Codes

I apologise in advance if this is off topic here, wasnt sure where else to ask for advice.

We have probably all seen these square (barcodes) codes popping up everywhere, and although it is not a blackhat topic, they could be used in many ways to gain traffic to websites, (twitter facebook etc...)
I have seen an offer in the warrior place but was wondering if anybody new where to get the actual code generating software.
A G search seemas to offer mostly readers and phone apps.
This is not a request for the offer (its a monthy sub)

I have been looking for an easy way to create QR Sites.

Here's a Open Source project I found:
