My sister is going to New Delhi I am worried.

So I know New Delhi is a modern city but it is still my sister and I am still scared for her.

If anyone could offer me tips on where an American can go and not go in New Delhi I would appreciate it.

Advice on restaurants where American food is served and maybe grocery stores where she can buy American style food is appreciated. My biggest fear is that she eats or drinks something that makes her sick.

Why is she going to New Delhi? Vacation or work related? Alone or with friends?
 
Just tell her to carry alot of money on her at all times and to wear really sexy revealing clothing. Also, accept every drink strangers offer to her, otherwise it would be considered rude. Hmm oh and dont judge a book by its cover, if the man wants her to go down the dark alley with her, just follow him; he could be a nice feller.

Indian food is actually healthy compared to what you americans eat.
And i don't know anyone that would go to a foreign country and still eat food that he ate all his life at home. Maybe you're the first.

You must have heard at one point or another that Indian food and water is poisonous to Americans?

Its a work trip she is there for 2 weeks and yes she is going with people.
 
If she is going for work and she is going with people she can take care of herself. what are You worried about. just chill.

Don't worry dude, Delhi is modern city, there are lot of Five star hotels, she will get easily American food there!! You can google it Good hotels or find in yellow pages!! btw you are really caring bro:)

I went to Delhi and, while not 3rd world it wasnt modern by any means. I would advise her not to go out at night by herself. I saw a lot of poverty and a lot of desperate people (im sorry if this offends anyone here)

Delhi (india) doesnt have the same rules as the USA and UK so be careful.
