Question Did You Have Help Getting Started Online?

Most people don't learn to ride a bike without that first push.

Most people don't learn to walk until someone guides them and teaches them to.

A lot of people can't learn a lot of things unless they are taught or given a boost.

Did you have help when you first started making money online?

If you didn't: What did you do and how did you do it?

This is a "Out of Curiosity" type thread.

"it just takes time"

That depends on what you do and how you do it.

I kind of rolled into this. My friend got me into making forums then I started wanting to make actual sites. After that I found out you could actually make money off sites and it all went from there.

Absolutely, although the people who did it probably don't even realize it. Here are a few names who've helped me. For the record, combined I've only ever PM'd with half of these folks and then maybe 10 PMs total; they're busy and I don't want to pester the shit out of them.

The help they gave was just mainly in the reading between the lines of their posts here.:

EssentialClix
Havokb8
Montyzpython
Uptownbulker.
Diamond Dave
Apekillape
Oldenstylehats
Nick Flame
gts6
Wealthy199
Rambo
Artswerdstone
hmmm I'm starting to see a pattern here...

Non-executives who've helped:
themagician
tomlilah
madinaz
stumickle
prideoflions

Sorry if I misspelled anyone or anything. Just off the top of my head I can think of individual posts or attitudes or something that each of these people has shared here, in the open, that have helped me get this far without opening up a vein in frustration.

From other sites:
Ruck
Nickycakes
Eli

Um... that's pretty much it actually, at least as far as practical, straight up advice goes.

Personal, one on one, mentor type help? Not really. I'm a blackhat (well black-bonnet anyway), but I don't really have anything to offer any of these folks yet in return for their help. My sense of honor (laugh if you want but fuck you if you have none) won't let me bug them. I'm still enduring my growing pains and learning the basics.

I'm up to mid $xxx a month (well not last month, but fluctuations happen right). I figure when I'm at $xx,xxx I'll have some stuff to offer and might be able to join the big-people club. Until then, keep chugging along.

Thanks for this post Coreygeer. Sometimes in my frustration I forget to be grateful. You reminded me.

-peace

I guess it only be fair that I share my experience:

To be honest.. I was a dumb ass.. I was 16 years old and I'm looking online at all these "Get Rich Fast" ads and hell.. I didn't even know what an affiliate link was, but I was a hell of a Starcraft gamer. If only I would've spent my years Affiliating rather than gaming, things would be going MUCH quicker

At 18, I bought everything I could and accumulated $800 in debt from AdWords, $600 something from E-Bay, and my bank quickly went into the negatives and pretty soon I had debt collectors calling me. The university of phoenix also was eager to collect $2,000+ which they never gave me in the first place.. so I just kind of ran around in circles wondering "what should I do?"

Well, I pretty much was hopeless and never made a dime until I figured out what Torrents and Ce Cash were. Then I started making torrents but I never uploaded them.. I didn't know you had to upload them to websites, I thought you just made the fucking things and let them sit in UTorrent lol, no one ever really explained it to me.

Once I figured out how to seed them.. my first ever torrent was just pictures I stole off of Ask Men for "The 99 Sexiest Women Of 2007"

This Torrent went viral in a matter of minutes and exploded. I made nearly $2,000+ in a month off of this torrent on Ce Cash. I wasn't using a password.. all I had done was put 99 Pictures from Ask Men of the "99 Sexiest Women Of 2007" in a folder, then in another folder I put that original folder with the pictures and I put a text file stating:

"Thanks for downloading, blah blah blah

This contains pictures of the 99 sexiest women of 2007 NON-NUDE. If you'd like to get nude versions of these pictures, please visit *My Affiliate Link To Ce Mags*.

Blah Blah Blah (Me describing about how other free xxx sites are garbage)
*My Affiliate Link Again*

If you ever remember.. it might still be there today.. look up
"99 Sexiest Women of 2007"
"99 Sexiest Women of 2008"
Those are both my first two torrents I ever released.. if you downloaded the original ones, they should have text files in them.. one referring you to a tinyurl with ysaoa8 on the end. Another referring you to a yourfreepass account.

It's memorable for me.. how I thought of something so original that I had never seen anyone else do and made it turn into 2k for a month. That's probably the best I've had so far, since then I've had trouble getting torrents/proxies to work for me lately and I'm working on White Hat sites but that takes so much god awful time. I learned so much from stupidity, and I hope others learn just by simply using common sense before buying stupid shit or you'll end up in a pretty good pile of debt like I was

I got drunk, it was 2 am, I ordered, was too drunk to really read the ebook, pulled it out a couple of months later, applied what was in it, and made money.

So, I guess I had the help of my good friend Stoli, who convinced me it was a wise idea at the time to buy the book.

I myself just started looking to make a part-time or full-time income online in January of this year. After hitting a bunch of ebook sales pages (and buying a few of them with garbage 'this is how I did it but now I'm selling the system b/c it won't work as well') running into MLM 'pyramid' kinds of things and then landing on projectpayday somehow where I learned about the incentivized freebie site biz from a user standpoint not an owner. I immediately saw to make any money with those you actually have to own a freebie site (or a network of them.) So after getting screwed by completing offers for freebie sites, I continued my search and finally landed on wickedfire's forums where I got all kinds of ebooks and such for free. I tried to find a mentor to show me how some basic things went (which was impossible.) So I struggled there for a few weeks to a month and they don't take kindly to newbies so I stopped going there and started doing what I did for a company I worked for but on my own. After things went well with that, I automated it and outsourced some of the work which made me even more money. And then I found BHW and found a lot of good methods, programs, ebooks, etc but have yet to implement most of them b/c I still want to perfect the system I use now so it can basically run on its own. So yeah.. thats where I'm at.. start to present.

I didn't really have any help getting started making money online.

At first I started with those clicking emails for pennies programs, then I found out about DP and started going thru ebook hell, buying lots of $7, $17, and even $500 methods that didn't work at all

I probably lost thousands of dollars on crappy ebooks, programs, and methods.

Now I'm currently doing a torrent method and aff marketing, making about low 4 figures per month
