I am setting up a new PPC campaign for one of our clients. They sell hangers, yes coat hangers - could it get more exciting than that? No. Well in my research I discovered that there were a little under 400 searches last month for "coat hanger abortions"...

The fun never starts..

Shit..I wasnt talking about abortions, I should go back and edit that. I was talking about coat hangers, phone cords, plastic straws.. all the crap you never think about that people are always looking for. I was amazed by the coat hanger business..

That is actually disturbing that 400 people are searching for quite a clear and consice keyword.

Shocking and sad really that someone could even contemplate doing that to their bodies.

That's quite amazing. Would be really keen to know about the conversion rates on hangers.

I don't know if this thread is about grotesque events or PPC anymore, but I was also surprised to see how expensive the avg cpc was for certain lawn care service keywords, $12.50 - $25.00, with Texas leading the away as usual. It was actually so high I thought somthing must be skewing it so I went back later in the day and checked again, not as high but still much more expensive than I would have guestimated.

You will always find these cases on the news. It shows some shocking evidence that there are some people who are just completely messed up in the head....
