was reading a thread and people mentioned posting an add with somebodys phone number,so this is my question,if i post an add on craigs list with someone elses phone number so that person will get calls,can they trace it back to me through my ip address?or would something like hide my ass work if i used that to post on craigs list?i just want my ex to get calls all night long,im also aware she could do the same to me.any help on the tracing it back to me is what i need to know thanks

only if she asks the person on the other end of the phone where they got the #, and they tell her the URL... Not likely to happen, but still possible. After that, they just have to prove it was posted from your IP. I'm sure she'd prob just leave the phone off the hook (or on silent) after a few.

i think anyone who gets a few calls about something like a xbox for sale would ask where did u get my number from,and once again,would hide my ass block my ip address?thanks

Always assume that it can be traced back to you if you use your home computer. Why not post from a internet cafe or local library?

just use a proxy, or pay someone to post the ad for you.
