They sort of replaced OiNK, so mostly music, but some kinds applications as well.

It is. Waffles.FM is, imho, slightly better, but what.cd is a pretty close second with regards to private music torrent trackers.

I thought Demonoid is considered public? AFAIK, you do not need to be a member to download via their torrents. Their torrents are not passkey protected anyway.

I've also heard what.cd and waffles were very good, I've been trying to get in to those two for quite some time any help would be appreciated.

What.CD is just OK really. The thing is they will verify the quality of the lossless rips which is valuable. I was on What.CD and I have never found one album on What.CD I couldn't get elsewhere BUT I was able to upload 125 albums that were never there.

They are also intolerant of any infraction. I uploaded this was a power use for two years, and suddenly my account was banned. I never did figure out why. I tried to go on IRC to find out and they said, "You know what you did." And kicked me out.

Especially when you deal with sites like this. What.CD has a script that can see if you go to any "Shady" sites and with the CSS leak in Firefox and others can see if you visited any sites and they blanket ban you.

It's a great site, but you can get pretty much anything there from Russian torrent trackers as a lot of the What.CD users download and reupload at different sites
