9 times out of 10, BHW will not load for me. This has been happening for 72 hours. Anyone else had the same problem?

Its kinda annoying, occasionally BHW is up but usually when i find a thread to discover its offline and im not able to give or get info...

It's because BHW is getting DDOSed and the server pings out now and then.

LOL. And I though something is wrong with my laptop, or isp. I tried opening the site with proxies, pinging it from my pc, and some different methods BUT was failed. Well, according to me, its NOW moving upwards in Alexa and the target being in TOP 500 websites is not far away from here, SO its actually facing a HUGE traffic flow which might be the reason behind this

Really? You think BHW doesn't run on a "normal" server...get a clue. I'm betting there was quite a massive DDOS going on...

They are just having server issues, not that big of a deal. Be patient everyone and BHW will we up and running smoothly.

BHW runs on a pretty hefty dedicated server. The reason the site has been up and down the last couple days is because some people don't like us. I've been working with my server admins to stabilize the site and things should return to normal pretty soon.

thank you for the update, DDave. I noticed the same thing and ppl should know that trying again and again to logon over a couple of minutes hogs the server even more.
you already use nginx and some heavy caching, I assume the problem is upstream.
Good luck finding a permanent cure.

There are ways of avoiding ddos, I'm sure that you guys does everything you can to prevent things like this but I must ask, admin can answear to me in pm if that's better.

Q1: Are you guys running any type of IDS/IPS on the server?

Q2: What type of firewall are you running?

Yeah some asshole keeps doing a DDOS. I have confidence that BHW will get it fixed. This forum is awesome, and the mods are even better. Just be paient and it will work out. Whats that old saying, paientce is a virtue.............and that commit about BHW running on a normal server....Come on man get a clue....BHW is a forum were we can discuss SEO and other internet related money making stuff, dont you think they would have a good server. Commits like that make me want to go home and kick my dog...LOL
