*Didn't really know where to post this - if's it's in the wrong place, please feel free to curse me, beat me up, kick my dog, and any other punishment you see as beneficial.
This is just a quick and low level traffic generation method.
The point is to take trash traffic and turn it into real traffic (or at least less trashy traffic).
The concept is pretty simple.
-1- setup a free blog. - put a longish article on the blog. It doesn't need to be unique or particularly good, it doesn't even need to cover any popular topic. Pretty much anything will do.
-2- sign-up with 5-6 banner exchange sites. - when you signup for these banner exchange sites, you tell them your blog address as where you will be hosting the banners.
-3- decide where you want your 'real' traffic to be sent. - in #2 above, you tell them that this is where you want people to be redirected to when they click on your banner links.
-4- Now buy traffic from one of those places who guarantee top level traffic to your web page - you already know it's trash traffic, thats why they sell it for like $3 per 50,000 hits or some similar crap.
-5- As all of that trash traffic hits your blog that has the 5 banners on it, those banner exchanges are paying you 1/1 or 1/2 (you display their banner once, they display your banner once - that sort of thing)
So now with each trash hit you send to your blog, you are generating 5 banner impressions to promote your own offer.
That means for each trash hit you send to your blog, you will basically be paid 5 banner impressions promoting your own offer on other peoples web sites.
Considering that banner exchanges are used mostly by newbies, your banner will show up on real web pages, but it will be on web pages that really only mainly gets traffic from its owner.
So take that into consideration when you are running this game - make your banner promote something that a newbie webmaster is going to be interested in.
What I did was make a banner promising the viewer a jv with a well known marketer - when the person clicked it, i sent them to a page explaining that I only jv with people who first read my ebook - the visitor clicked through to get the ebook, but instead is presented with a cpa offer - he fills the offer looking for the next step, there is no next step, he got me paid, which was the point.
I hope this is worthy of some thanks - or at least a lack of insults.
