Would it be a good idea to look into getting a Internet Marketing degree? Really wanting to get into this field either by working for myself of for a company. I know if I work for a company the best answer would be to have a degree but would it REALLY be useful if I only plan on working for myself?

I got My IM degree from BlackHatWorld aka school of the hard knock's. My honest Opinion if its something you want to do go for it. But i would work for my own company bro. I mean honestly bro being an Entrepreneur is the best way to go you dictate the hour's amount of work. You pretty much Keep what you make unless you outsource. Which you can pay next to nothing for the amount of work you would be paying someone who had a degree would deserve.

Internet Marketing Degree? LoL, I didn't even knew such a thing existed. Guess BHW should be renamed to Black Hat University. "Hey, where did you get your IM Degree? -Duh, BHU!"

I saw an ad for the degree in IM on TV the other night and LOL'd. I would never do that BS. BHW and trial and error will teach you the best.

Agreed. Information and Resources on Internet Marketing are everywhere on the Internet. You just have to commit yourself to do some research, learn, and take actions. That is probably the best and most effective way to get into Internet Marketing. Life is a continuous journey and only the ones who are able to keep up with the rapid changing world will be successful.

D: If you want to learn internet marketing at university level then i would suggest you do a marketing degree, or a business degree majoring in marketing, economics goes well with marketing as it explains a lot about everything in life, not just money .

I'm receiving SPAM regarding an Internet Marketing undergraduate degree. If you ask me, it's BS.

By the time you graduate in four years' time, much of what you've learned is outdated. Hence, it's pretty useless. But I have to agree with the posts above that a degree in General Marketing would help.
