Ok so a few of my buddies and I were just talking shit a few days ago drunk. And somehow we got to the subject of stores like blockbuster, rent a center and such.

Anyways so the next day I head over to a few stores like Rent-a-center and most of these don't care about your credit they just ask for employment proof like Cheque tabs. So i tell them i'm self employed. Internet Marketing. (They dont know what that is) So i tell them well check my credit its perfect..they say they don't require credit..so im like ok wtf?

I show them my bank statements, my paypal and everything. Im showing them i receive what they make in a year in about 2-3 months and i CANNOT get an account at the store because im unemployed like wtf?!?!?

What's going on in this world?
Are we the only sane ones left?
Any suggestions? Should I Rob the store? Put a HIT on it?

I had a some what similar situation when trying to get a small loan months back. This woman is like your credit is good but can you provide proof of employment. Then i said im "self employed" and she "replied doing what?" I said "Internet Marketing" and she looked at me like she had just stepped into the twilight zone. Long story short i was denied as i didnt have an up to date tax report and she said im technically unemployed. I was shocked leaving the bank. The majority of people are so dumb/oblivious that most internet marketers make more money then them in a month then they make in a year. But without these dumb/oblivious people to sign up for trial offers and biz ops i guess we wouldn't be laughing to the bank

Put yourself on a payroll from your own company? (LOL)

Photoshop fake paystubs for a place like Rent A Center, they won't know the difference as long as you can print them on the proper paper

i paid off my credit cards years ago

consequently, no one would give me a credit card

Yeah that happened to me when i first started making enough money online. I paid off all my CC in full and only to learn that!

since it's not legally regulated this '' occupation '' like a job it's normal for average peoples to not understand it ... that's the hole point , that it's why IM works ... @badassmamma think about ... if you said the biotch from the bank you are a freelance photographer working for washington post ... anyway ...

most easy way for everyone it's to open a small LLC and employ yourself when you need such legal papers

If you have an LLC/corporation setup and list yourself as CEO/Owner, then I don't think they can say you are unemployed.
