Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
Seriously. I'm trying to figure out what being a Jr VIP actually means nowadays.
As an advocate and firm believer in BHW quality, I've been a BHW member for some time now and have seen all the changes, so I'm aware of those and the impacts, and seen the ratings change etc and that's NOT what this thread is about. Wiz and I have shared thoughts some time ago and Wiz's msg was enlightening.
I would however, like to hear from you on your views and thoughts.

Re: Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
Jr VIp means nothing to me. It is just a short form of saying you joined first.

Re: Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
It's something that I'm looking forward to. Like when I first joined the War Room at WF. I'm hoping that there's going to be a wealth of information in there that can help me in my IM efforts. BTW, there's already a wealth of info on the main forum. If someone joins this forum and can't make money online, then there's probably no hope of them making money. So if Jr. VIP has better info than the main forum, then it has to be a goldmine.

Not really.. Atleast not nowadays.
Jnr VIP just means you were willing to donate to BHW for giving you so much. I hate people who look at Jnr VIP and see it as "Paying for membership" or "Buying your way into BHW". Its simply a donation to BHW and thats all.

Re: Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
The OP is a Jr. VIP and did not donate. There are other ways to become one now.
Personally, I think it was designed to be for people that feel like they're elitists because they have access to a special section with other elitists. But to be fair, that is not the vibe I get from those who are Jr. VIP's.
In the end, it's sort of a reputation type deal. I plan to donate soon and for a reason. I want to give my input on the direction the forum is going as well.

Re: Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
Well, yes it is a donation, but it's also a means of cultivating a much purer forum community within a larger one.
Seeing the regular boards cost you little more than the time it took you to click on the link you found in google, or from someone who emailed you. Accessing other parts of the board costs you the time it takes to sign up for an account.
The Jr VIP section should theoretically (I don't know, as I'm no Jr VIP, it could be a huge mess in there) have more of a dedicated user base, as the cost to see and post in the forums restricted to Jr VIP and up shows more dedication to the community. It may not keep out the people we'd REALLY like to keep out, ie: craigs cronies, or others looking to circumvent our efforts, but it does offer a place for those that are truly serious to share ideas.
Just my thoughts.

Re: Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
It used to mean something imo...Those of us who were grandfathered in initially after a minimum of three months did not have to pay/donate to get there...Recently there have been a lot of new Jr's, Aug 09, Sept 09 with 500 posts etc. its not really the secretive place it was a few months back because anyone outside of BHW would make a few posts and pay $97 to read what we talk about there [plus its only 30 days now]. Coupled with the fact that stuff has been getting leaked out of the Jr section recently, plenty of Jr VIPs cannot be trusted. I am still a proud BHW Jr VIP & I know there are a lot of guys who deserve to be there but I feel there are no barriers to enter anymore.

Re: Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
As I am not one, although I am not saying I w'ont donate soon, it seems a shame it is not being entered into with the right frame of mind ie. divulging information they have been privaleged to receive. Also I don't think 30 days on the forum and getting your wallet shows you deserve to treated with greater respect My 0.02

Re: Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
For me it was a matter of giving back and donating, I made a hundred times more than the donation, with the information I picked up from the forum, the fact that the name Jr VIP came with it was coincidental. It certainly doesn't make me feel elite.
I also think that being a Jr VIP should carry with it a responsibility, any rule infraction by a Jr VIP should be more harshly dealt with, Jr VIPs should be above all trusted members within the forums where Newbies can go to get good advice.

Re: Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
Not that this is true, What if Jnr VIP was actually a sham and there was no secret forums or anything. Would you still donate?
In a way.Nowadays its a sign that you are serious about IM. If i know someone had $97 dollars to spare for a good cause. Then i know that they are probably not going to dick around on a JV etc.

Re: Jr. VIP - What are your thoughts?
I was proud when I got my Jr.Vip srtipes, and the same goes for my Exec. Vip. I earned my stripes. Not from donating, and not from being a savvy Blackhatter. But from being myself in some BHW competitions.
Its not about the secrets behind the forum status for me. Its about being a member of this great place, and being a Somebody while I am here !
BHW is the shit ! And all we ask is Trust !
