Well there are lot of them... indian names have deep meanings.
For example, take my name. Satyawrat
Satya = Truth
Wrat = Promis/follow/believe

So basically my name means The one who follows the path of truth.

Now for the surnames, India has surnames based on the ethnicity of people.

I belong to a ethnic group that has its decedents from Germany. Aryans to be exact...
