Anybody ever use one? What's the story? real money or sham?

I`m playing poker online since years .... what I can tell you with sure . BULLSHIT . Yes ... can be made bots to play with some patterns like for example analyzing the history of hands plaid but don't even think about serious money to be made from this ;) .... and most of the pokerrooms will kill your account when they saw those types of patterns

Good players will allways be able to adjust to bots. Pokerstars has verification in chat to avoid bots. Bots might work on other sites like ub or fulltilt.

Do you trust a bot coded by an unknown individual to play out your poker hands and put your money on the line?

Didn't think so :)

first of all too much problems with this. if you get a report you could get banned and they will hold your money. if you cant make a bot, you should not use one as well because lots of bots are backdoored. there are programs to make things more smooth, but a bot playing for you just causes problem with the site your playing on.

I used a bot on betfair exchange games and yes I was making good money for exactly 7 days. Just like the betfairbot its up against with time it will pick up on historial data and minimize your wins and eventaully your back to square one. If you use a bot dont have a set pattern use it completly randomly that way it should fly under the radar.

I saw this guy that made a killing on Poker-room back in the days before dubya signed the Ports Act. Can't remember his nick, but his bots would play 1-2 limit, and absolutely kill it. He would play 8 tables at a time for about 12 hours a day. Each table would consistently be up about $150 each by the end of the day ($1,200 per day!).

I'm almost certain they were bots, because they would take exactly the same amount of time to make a decision to call, raise or fold. I got involved in a bunch of "test" hands with the bots, just to see what it would do. It almost always made the mathmatically correct decision, based on pot odds and odds of winning.

I used to play up to 4 tables at a time - there's no way a human could play 8 tables and take exactly the same amount of time (it was about 3 seconds) on every table!

Seems kind of risky to me, quite a few things to consider. Have to avoid the poker site banning you for using a bot and have the bot be good enough to actually make money. Still sounds kinda fun/interesting though.

You whould be surprised on how many bots that actually are playing on the bigger networks..

The bots are actually pretty hard to spot, for players and the poker networks...

There are way better ways to make money than this, unless you are really good at playing poker or got alot of time to learn.

NOT Easy, but botting/rakeback is not bullshit. 1,000s of test hands later and I make a steady income with it.

i wouldn't ever use a bot for poker. unless you are willing to lose. i mean, just in case the bot fails at something and messing up... then your screwed. but idk. try it with play money first

Easy money if you know the math behind poker. You just have to be patient and you won't get banned. My bot is playing for nearly 5 years now on stars and full tilt. And beats the sngs up to 100 buy in.

99% are bullshit tbh. algorythms can never beat human creativity imo. it's exactly the same as forex-bots

8 tables is possible. I got a freind that just moved to Australia he plays poker as his full time job and averages about 25k monthly.

He plays 25 tables at once on 2 30 inch monitors on bodog.

bodog ?

whats that ?

Working for a poker room I can assure you that poker bots are very real and can make a lot of money. However the big winners will all be custom rule sets and anyone with an advanced bot won't say a word.

Anything you can buy publicly would be a small winner at low level games at best.

If you want to test out a poker bot for yourself, here is a cracked version of Shanky's Holdem Bot:

Code:
h**p://shankypokerbot.blogspot.c0m/

This site is not mine and it uses sharecash to download. This is an older version of the bot. It comes with one profile built in and you will see others listed there for download. These profiles simply control how the bot plays. If you are new to bots, try using it on the play money first before using real cash.

You can get a 200 hand trial of the latest version of the bot at:

Code:
h**p://www.bonusbots.c0m

The profiles supplied from these sites will only win or break even on micro stakes. Dont try using these at higher levels. If anyone else knows of good bots/profiles that do work on higher stakes, please pm them to me.

If you appreciate, click thanks... :)
