Re: How do you get rid of malware
it all depends on what kind of malware you have, but what i do is have both NOD32 and Windows defender running at the same time, plus atlest ones per day, usually before i close down i clean all the folders with ccleaner (you can find it at ccleaner . com) just click averything in advanced and save changes, you will understand when you downloaded the program...
any other questions, just pm me.

Re: How do you get rid of malware
Here's my solution, although it may be a bit drastic for you. I run mac OSX. I use this for all my day to day doings (email, web, content creation ect). Now anytime I need to run a windows program (which is the only place one really needs to be concerned of malware) I run it in a virtual machine. I use parallels, but there are other options such as VMware. This way, each program is encapsulated in its own unique environment. When I don't like a program, or suspect it of nefarious activities, I simply delete the virtual environment and am done with it. I believe there are also Virtual Machine options for windows, but I am not familiar with them. I know there are options for Linux. One thing to keep in mind, is you do need a powerful computer to use this option. I run a quad core with 4 gigs of ram.

Re: How do you get rid of malware
I keep getting a "new programs installed" bubble appearing. It could perhaps be something as harmless as a faulty install setup or an annoying bug. I know how to turn off this message but just wanted to check that it is not anything more malicious as I have been using torrents intensively over the last couple of days which is when I noticed the problem occurring. Knowing that all kinds of stuff can get bundled with torrents I have done a thorough virus and cclean scan but the problem is still there.
That's a good solution fronts but I don't have a very powerful machine and I think the virtual machine route could be a bit too advanced for me.
What advice would you guys give. You can either reply on this thread or if necessary pm me. Rakel I will pm you.
