First nulled script, account suspended...
So I installed a script that was on here that I downloaded and was nulled, and I got suspended and all of my sites are still currently suspended, because somehow the program developer found out and sent in a copyright complaint to my server.
Is there a host that does not do this for having warez type scripts on your site?

Re: First nulled script, account suspended...
I would think that offshore server's like china, japan, korea, etc. would not care about US copyright laws.

Even more important to the rest of the members here is...WHAT script was it!
Dont tell us you got a bad nulled script and then forget to inform us the script it was.
Thanks :-)

Something doesn't smell right since he's just joined this month, has 7 posts and ironically leaves out something as critical as to what script he loaded. All of that happened with in 2 and half weeks of joining this month?
I smell fish.

Re: First nulled script, account suspended...
Even with a nulled script it still is quite easy for a developer to find your site down to simple things like directory structure or certian words that will appear on pages that google has indexed and can then be searched on. Plus there are also some cowboy Nullers/groups out there that dont know what they are doing.

Thats maybe beccuase you leave near the sea or a flish plant :-P just becuase he has a low post count does not mean that he could of downloaded the script from a open post and then signed up at a later time.

Re: First nulled script, account suspended...
You should be able to deny the other persons claim (and/or remove the offending script, if any) and get your sites back online. Call your hosting provider. If you deny or remove it your host is supposed to bring your sites online, and then the person making the charge has to put up or shut up in court. The hosting providers don't like to mediate - if someone files a claim, they pull the site(s) and if someone files a counterclaim, they put them back up. Of course, having some out of the country backup hosting doesn't hurt, but I don't know where you can get this cheap.

Try not using the same login name for everything you do

The site is now back up. However, my server is requesting now that I provide a serial number for my other software (BANs), which I also downloaded. Needless to say, I do not have a serial number for this. Where can I get one? Or how should I proceed with this host requesting this now because of this claim? (Hostgator is the host)

Re: First nulled script, account suspended...
Either buy bans or find an alternative or buy or remove the script also hostgator will check your sites for pirate copies
In future edit nulled scripts and put the on a throwaway hosting account for checking ie 3 months should be ample

Any ideas for "alternative"?
And what would you recommend using as a throwaway hosting account?
