Back to my main problem:
Keyword I found is profitable and it would be really easy to rank in google. It's from weight loss category (I won't tell you the actual keyword, I think you understand why). Problem is there are very few articles on it and I'm not native English speaker so it would be pretty hard to post unique valuable content periodically to a blog.

My question is: What would you advice, to build blog (from dupe content and sometimes unique articles) or make a site similar to one I mentioned above with several sub keywords and all unique articles on that niche and "piss" my links all over the net? Which type of site is harder to rank? Better to monetize? I would be trying to monetize through adsense.

If you want to monetise using adsense then avoid the duplicate content. Start by finding 6 or so keywords that you want to rank for and work hard on getting the content for it. Don't be afraid to pay someone to write it for you. Or, maybe try writing in your native language and translating back to English. You don't need to post continual content. Even just modifying existing content will get the google bot working. I am constantly modifying my content as I learn new things about SEO and monitor the search engine traffic.

Once you have the content and it is following all the standard SEO practices you can work on building your link network.

I honestly have no experience with XSitePro so can't really comment on what it is like to use, sorry. Wordpress is very simple to use anyway and it won't make any difference to your final results. Wordpress does have a lot of plugins that will help you get what you want if you don't want to learn XSP.

you are right about the word press. It is really easy. If I can get the job done without any of the controversies than this would be the way to go. However sometimes you need to go for cause you never know when you might need it.
