Finding OLD blogs for backlinking

I've been experimenting some, here's a few things to google. I've actually gotten a backlink on some pr6 pages using this.

inurl:mt-comments +Remember personal info? +2003
"Proudly powered by WordPress" 2002

Just visit blogs, and look for a common text, doesn't have to be MT or wordpress. Adding the date, which you can change to different years, seems to give SERP's of old established blogs.

This is my first lame ass contribution to the site, hope someone can use it.

why not break down the search query and tell everyone what it actually does! that would be really helpful!

inurl:mt-comments +Remember personal info? +2003 will show sites with "mt-comments" in the url, +Remember personal info? will show sites with that phrase in the page, and +2003 can show dates comments were posted. I've been using more variations I've put together from stuff I found here, and on other sites.

inurl:mt-comments site:.edu +2001 is a good one. All blog scripts use certain word combinations, like "leave a comment" or some shit like that. Just mix and match different combinations, using the inurl: and +some text. On the serps, look at the urls and you will start seeing different things to search for.

i had used the inurl before but not with the additional variations you had added - thanks for clearing that up!

Off to do some searching now! LOL

You can try also "allinurl:archives/000089.html"
or "allinurl:wordpress/?p=20"
and many-many other

Or play with this search "allinurl:node" ,i have found 14 PR6 and 2 PR7 dofollow links this way

Useful operators. Thanks for the information. "node" probably digs out lot of Drupal driven systems.
