YOUTUBE - is the party over?
I always create accounts by changing proxies.
However, now it says:
Verify your account.
You're almost done. We will send an activation code via SMS to your mobile phone.
Please complete the form below.
It obviously used to be only e-mail verification. Is there any way around this new way? Or, is the party over?

Re: YOUTUBE - is the party over?
Thats just the big G checking up on you,I change my ip by switching up my nic mac address and my cable modem gives me a new ip. I get that same screen, however, I have found that when I close ALL of my browser windows, disable everything google on your pc, picasa, googleupdater, EVERYTHING, then clear all private data from the browser, switch ip, and bingo, no sms verification
PS: I have gotten that message with a clean pc, but still had another one with browser windows open, cut all ties to the big g, think about this, if you are browsing a site that has analytics that is seeing your gmail cookie for another account, you switch your ip, and analytics sees your new ip with your gmail cookie, and you are trying to create another account......g takes a programmatic approach to everything, and i dont doubt that they use all resources they are capable of

Re: YOUTUBE - is the party over?
Hi Bastian, You are trying to create accounts manually correct?
A good trick I've used is basically, one browser for everyday life stuff (non BH) and one for marketing ventures. Because the error code is caused by cookies being there, doesn't matter if your IP changed, if you don't clear cookies Google will get you.
Just install FF for everyday life or whatever, Netscape/Opera for BH, and clear cookies without worrying about losing your legitimate stuff.

Re: YOUTUBE - is the party over?
i use had that issue and then started using chrome incognito and going st to gmail*com instead of sending myself invites.
i have heard that g will ask you for sms if you try to create 5 or more addys from same browser session.
i might be wrong though

Re: YOUTUBE - is the party over?
i purchased them from someone who said they made them each under a different US IP. When i rated and commented with the different accounts I logged in with each account under the same IP. do you think I might have to clear my cookies every time i log into a new account? or that might not even help

Re: YOUTUBE - is the party over?
Just use firefox portable for IM and normal firefox for everyday stuff.

Re: YOUTUBE - is the party over?
Using FF portable is a good idea, they even have a version of IE7 that is portable. I use CC cleaner after I switch IPs and have pretty much given doing any IM with Google Chrome. Its my favorite browser to surf with, but I don't trust it for IM
Do no evil my ass
