Google random ranking factor

Lets talk about Google random ranking factor, have you noticed it on any of your websites ? What experience you have with this phenomenon ?

Two of my cases: both websites are "review type of websites"

1st: has 10~ "product reviews" , all of them has ~ same competition, ~ same search volume. Now all of those pages were ranking like they should - steadily, except one and this page that i think was having this "random raking factor" is jumping from 10th~ to 120 position for 3 months.

2nd: has 10~ "product reviews", everything was ranking steadily from the beginning, except one page that was dominating top 3 positions without any backlinks after 3-4 weeks from when the page was created. Although competition for this "product review" was harder than for other "product review" pages, + other pages had quality PBN backlinks build to them and were not seeing the 1st page, this one haven't, + competition already had aged pages with PBN backlinks.

On both websites, the "product review" pages are similar in competition and in almost everything else, but the behavior is way out of the proportion to consider this as something that is not effected by "google random factor" or call it whatever you like.

I have a site with around 40 products, with 4 silo pages. I only built links to the silo pages but none of the product have gotten above 3rd page of serps...

All of them are low comp and it has passed 2 months since the website is built.

I don't know what's stopping the site from hitting spot 1. The DA and PA of my site is higher than any site in top 10 for almost all keywords which I'm targeting.

I think you're missing the point, in your case site doesn't rank, my cases are different...

Check your on-site SEO, 9 times out of 10 that is the problem.

On site is almost the same for all pages.

That random factor might be the template which affects ur kw density, whith things like "recent posts" "categorries" etc for ex

There is nothing random about Google algorithm you just need to know how to work with it...

I have the exact same problem.

Have 1 page that keeps dropping lower and lower, use to be on page 1 at the bottom but now it's on page 4 already, however the other 6 keywords are still ranking page 1.

I followed the EXACT same strategy (on-page / off-page) with each page and all are equal quality content / competition. They are all ranking almost identical, however this 1 page just drops and drops and drops... and it alters a lot as well, it dances on a bi-weekly basis. It's like Google takes one of your sites pages and does tests with it to see how it reacts, very weird.

Exactly ...

It's not random. You have so much competition in almost every niche, it makes it seem random. It's just lots and lots of variables and intense competition, which makes it seem random.

On-site is never the same for each article/keyword. You think you have optimized all your pages, but you need to go back and make changes until it ranks. Some keywords may be different than others. No keyword is the SAME. For example, if you used your keyword in the H1 tag for article #1 targeting keyword #1, that does not mean you have to do the same for article #2 targeting keyword #2 in order for it to rank. It all depends on the number of words a keyword has, competition, internal linking, anchor texts, etc... There are too many factors at play. Your biggest mistake is treating all the keywords the same way and trying to do the same things for all of them to rank.
