Throughout the recent months, a lot of updates have been out by Google which has been terrifying the "seo" community; saying seo is dead, blackhat is dead, stuff that worked a year ago does not work anymore. I want to prove to you that this is not the case. I have been analysing a lot of serps and still there are sites that are ranking for competitive keywords 1-10 within hours.
Type in payday loans, you should see a website there ranking with spam only, it's fluctating between 5-9 atm.

Sorry for the rant, but certain SEO's are kind of pissing me off and pulling out facts from their "ass" which has no foundation to their methods or concepts.

I guess it's probably been the same almost as long as SEO has been around - propaganda scares anyone outside of the environment away from bh SEO.

Its not necessarily a bad thing, it just means there's less competition for those who are serious about it.

all of these threads lately are getting a bit boring though.

we need a sticky: BH SEO is not dead.
 
That is a part of the "churn and burn" method. Those sites rank and bank quickly but
do not last long.
 
to be honest I can't believe why so many people don't do mass spam. its simple.

1. spend $100 on getting a site made with content
2. mass spam it
3. rank
4. profit $$$$ (a lot more than what you paid to get the site up)
5. repeat.

and it only takes 5 minutes to set up a mass spam campaign. if you are efficient with it the ROI is surely worth it, even if you do only rank for a few days.
 
Google always rewarded a site that was now and wow or in the parlance, "trending or having velocity". They will only last as long as their links will allow.
 
Never know when to trust what Google says and when to listen to them ..
 
I think the only people following commentary about what is dead and what isn't are those that don't do their own experimenting, and probably aren't ranking anything.
 
Most of the sites that rank from spam were before the new updates and I can promise you they do not use webmaster tools
 
many spamers are happy because they are got a good result by their spamming activities but this happiness will not remain for long time. Whenever Google updates their algorithm their ranking goes down.

So if you want to be on top in Google or other search engines than you have to follow their guideline. May be it will take sometime but you will surely get huge benefit from your effort.

What a complete and utter load of bollocks, and why you sit there following Googles rules, thinking they own the internet, the spammers will bank and bank and bank again.

Wow one of my sites got hit that makes 10k a month, it will take me all of 2 minutes to put it back together, and about a week to rank it with pure spam. But hey, you sit there making your big fat nothing, as your website will always be on page three, as there are 20 odd spam sites ranking above it.

You see when people spam sites, they do not start crying when they get hit, a professional spammer always has many of sites just waiting to be spammed after that google update.
 

The problem with Google is when you want to create mini authority sites.

The Churn and Burn technique has worked, works and will continue to work for a long time.

Agreed. Until Google re-builds the Algo from scratch, then links are still the most important factor.
Spam works and will continue to work until the Algo is totally overhauled.
Any tweak or Google update will not affect a spammer to the degree it affects others.
Professional spammers are raking it in more than ever.

I haven't built any rank n' bank, churn n' burn sites but it is looking more tempting everyday.
