Sick of Google and their BS. Matt Cutts, come read my rant.

I've been in SEO industry quite sometime now, before all this Panda & Penguin updates, and WOW, what a sh*t search engine Google has become.
Yeah, I know, "You don't like it, gtfo, go to bing", but hear me out.
This is not a rant about "oh nooo I can't rank anything anymore" and "SEO is dead"
It just my observations of what Google become within past 2-3 years.
They started this BS, pointless war on link building which competely turned peoples attention away from building quality sites and to "f*ck will I get penalized later if I get this link?" and "how can I rank fast, so I can build churm and burn sites". Every day someone msgs me and asks me if they get penalized later, and my answer always "how the f*ck do I know what's going to happen" If you have any kind of links to your site, you might get penalized.

But, the real question that I'd like to ask Cutts and Google in general, WHAT'S THE POINT OF THE PENALTIES? They preach "build quality sites, focus on user experience" and other bs, but for what if NONE of this MATTERS when they issue penalties? I can have the most badass website that will make your grandmas pannies wet, BUT if one of those "Indian quality checkers" from their spam team that speaks halfenglish comes in and sees I have a link from a web 2.0 property or article directory with my anchor text in it ... well there goes my badass website. Doesn't matter if my site the best out there in my industry and is very helpful to the users. Whats really annoys is me when I hear people say "you spammed Google by building links". How the f*ck do we spam Google if GOOGLE DOESN'T OWN THOSE SITES THAT WE BUILD LINKS OWN? You spam Google when you create 123878273198273917 sites that talk about education and push advertisements for viagra, not when you build a link. The only thing you MIGHT spam is the WEBSITE that you building your link on, not FKING GOOGLE!

Sh*t, I remember 2 years back we were all sitting, thinking how we can improve our conversions, build more eye appealing sites, lower our bounce rate. Now all everyone cares about is "which links work with Google" and "let's spam our competitors". I don't know how many requests I got asking if I can build 100k links to someone site, just so they'd drop. Nobody wants to build quality sites as much as they used to anymore, simply, because they never know when Google will ruin it for them.

How to fix the problem? Well, first of all, enough with the penalties. Since you are "so good" at finding "unnatural links", just ignore them and don't pass any juice or ranking benefits. Plain, and simple. This whole "we going to penalize you if you build links" bs war is pointless, worthless and unnecessary that no one going to win.

Don't you get it that they want to sell you an Adwords campaign? Blackhat SEO takes money out of Google's pockets at least that's their perception. They'll tell you it's all about the customer experience but their search results with all the crappy advertising tells you otherwise.

Not being funny, but the whole point of blackhatworld is to game Google. So Matt is the enemy, and we are his enemy.

He isn't going to stop trying to penalize our websites anymore than we are going to suddenly stop building them.

What Matt does isnt really anything to get annoyed about, he is just the competition. If you're any good at this game, you can beat him and Google's webspam team.

You are right somehow, but i don't think Google will put a penalty on your site because someone in spam team, whatever nation he is, found a backlink from a web20 or article directory to your site. But it will probably do it if they find only such backlinks.

My way or ranking sites was a bit destroyed too lately, but i can't really blame Google. I hate the way it works now because you are so exposed on negative seo. Just have a small site in a small niche, ranking with only a handful of links, and anyone pointing 10000s forum profiles and comments at you might destroy you.

They want to scare webmasters into using AdWords so they can take their cut of the profit, G doesn't care about search quality, in my opinion search quality (=quality sites) isn't really a measurable metric as the user will always think that the results G delivers are "quality" because the user has no way to determine if there are better results for his search terms.

The while concept of penalties is to scare legitimate webmasters and destroy their business, if you are a blackhatter and your sites get hit, two days later your back with new domains and content.

I'm not talking about blackhatters here. Of course, everyone on BH will adapt. I'm talking about regular businesses that are too scared to invest ANY money in their site or even think about investing in SEO because of all the penalties. Now, that I think about it, looks like that was the goal for Google to try to take over SEO.

The way to fix this mess is to let link trade run free. Google can be a major player, a central bank if you will, but as long as they're bolshevik and Matt Cutts is the comrade in charge of centralizing link control, it's gonna be a mess.

We need perestroika and glasnost for links. Links are equity, they're free market values that should be freely traded, sold, bought and speculated with. Down with the centralized Google control of link equity, links should be freely bought and sold and regulated under a free market like every other equity.

It's already happening under their noses, so it'd be much easier to oficialize this policy and let the markets regulate themselves.

The only Problem with this solution is that G will be left out and as they think they are the only ones that are allowed to profit from the internet this will not happen. G got a business to run, so they need to sell as much of their links (=Adwords) as they can.

I am a former white hat guy who tried to build quality sites and I was proud that "I'm not a spammer"
and all that bullshit. Well, now I am a 100% HC spammer as it is the only business model
that has any point. My sites are really crappy and I spam them to death and then repeat.
And that is because of Google and Matt Cunt. I will never drop a dime
on adwords and for my own searches I only use Bing now as Google's results are complete shit.

That is very true. Not until long ago people made shitload of bookmarks and comments, to get links and rank. That annoyed some people but at least did not generated more crap. When that did not worked anymore, they started to build web 2.0 properties, and then blog networks, and all these are just new pages with crappy content polluting the results and growing exponentially. If you go down to 5-10 page of results for almost any kw is impossible not to find some blogspot or tumblr site which is obviously just a tier X link

FREE SEO THAT WORKS!

1. Pick a search term... make it long tail so 3 words or more.

2. Title text, meta description, meta keywords,and H1 tag all exact match for search term.

3. Restful style URL with exact match for search term.

4. View source on webpages in top 5 for search term... count how many times EACH word in search term occurs in HTML source AND how many exact matches... tune your page to be a little higher than top 5 average.

5. 1 Press release with exact match link text to page.

wait a week or two! presto! I use this to get PR0 websites to outrank PR 3+ websites in small niches all the time... I dominate like 30 niches a week with this and it is really basic SEO...

I agree google sucks, but if you are not ranking in the new softer panda then something else is going wrong... penalties... fubared NAV structure... missing canonicals.... tons of crawl errors... duplicate titles or meta descriptions.... slow response times????

Matt Cutts is never going to change his approach, because if he did, he'd basically be saying "I spent a few years doing something that was wrong." and that's career suicide.

He cares about making money, just like us. If this is what he needs to do to make money, he's going to do it. He doesn't care about all of your authority sites or Googles search quality.

Matt Cutts is a hired employee that collects a check. Which means he does what his superiors thinks is a good job. If Google offered me Matt Cutts 6 figure salary job, I'd take it and I'd probably do a better job then he is at killing SEO lol.

With all that said, just spam.

I just read the OP (somehow I missed it when it was posted), and I must agree - the means does not justify the end, because the end will not happen, therefore the means are useless and self-frustrating...

I don't know why people keep making threads like this. No disrespect to the OP or anybody else, but 99% of SEOs (myself included obviously) are trying to manipulate our sites into the top of the serps, which Google doesn't want. They want all of their indexes to have sites that are naturally ranked sites according to natural factors and statistics.

Will they ever accomplish this entirely? No. But the quality of their search results, and therefore the future of their main business, relies on them skimming as much this stuff off the top as they can. You want to rank for a keyword that you don't deserve to rank for and Google doesn't want you to because it fucks with their user experience, that's the way it is.

Don't bitch about it, get smarter.

Most people got smarter long time ago, but there's nothing wrong with "bitching about it" and IMO the more people "bitch about" things that are plain wrong, the better off we all are. Google is a monopoly that should have been stomped long time ago - the moment you corner 90% of any huge market segment and you start acting like G.od, you should be stopped.

Can you imagine a "real life" company doing what Google does? The Google fucks just woke up one day and decided (for whatever reason) that all article directories are bad and pretty much killed them in a single sweep. Let's see - say I run the biggest electricity supply company in any country and one day I decide that I don't like department stores and hair dressers, so I just cut off their electricity. Do you think that will fly in any normal country? I don't think so.

Just Google "new porn sites" - what do you know, not a single porn site on page one..... so, now they resort to selective censorship too???

It?s all about the cash Google needs more to pay its shareholders, and you lot are costing it money, your best bet is to ban all Google bots and all Google referrer traffic with htaccess. then carry on with Bing/Yahoo if Google can't access the sites it can't profit from your work. And don't say yer but googles got 70 present of the search market, cos that's the point. If every webmaster did this google would have little more than zero percent.
