Default SAPE effectiveness post penguin 2.1

I remain sceptical about the effectiveness of SAPE post Penguin 2.1.

Whilst I realise that people are saying the update is still rolling out I am of the belief that Penguin 2.1 and hummingbird in combination may be more of a dynamic update that rolls on indefinitely. (just my own theory based on how encryption has evolved over the years from static encryption keys into something more dynamic that rolls daily, weekly, etc)

    Back to my SAPE conundrum

I purchased the SAPE services through a seller on BHW. I have used the seller before.

I had a 4 year old website with very little PA/DA (it was barely a PR1 site). It had 10 pages MAX. It had no other back links apart from SAPE and some blog commenting. I would throw 65 SAPE links for a particular keyword and within a month or so it sky rocketed to Page 1 for the targeted keyword and other relevant keywords and stayed there for at least 3 months until it hit the manual penalty. (I'm happy with that strategy to churn and burn).

I used a similar strategy for dozens of websites and they all worked equally well.

Since this particular site got hit by the manual penalty I had another site ready to take over. The new site was an aged domain (nearly 8 years), had a few old back links (nothing major though), and has a variety of interesting articles with lots of engaging content (all written by a professional).

I have thrown 125 SAPE links for a particular keyword and I can barely get it to page 1. It's hovering around page 2.

I decided that I will not diversify link building to much after penguin 2.1 considering that less is more seems to be the new way.

So naturally I also decided against any tiered link building because of my own conspiracy theories about hummingbird and my belief that it is more than just a smarter search engine.. rather a more dynamic spam analyser (my delusions drawn from the symbolic characteristics of an actual humming bird and it's ability to fly backwards…. metaphorically speaking I translated that into saying google will look deeper into the links in backward tiers.

Okay moving right along, so it's a 1.5 months into my SAPE campaign and I'm struggling to get to page 1.

The competition has not changed significantly.

I employed a churn and burn strategy before but I can't seem to get it to work as well as before. Do I need to diversify my links considering I never really did that before and still got results?

Based on my own experiences I can only conclude that SAPE links have lost value significantly.

I am interested to hear of other people's experiences with SAPE post Penguin 2.1.

How long have you been using sape? you have to remember sometimes it takes more than 4 weeks for google to actually credit the links and move your keywords accordingly. Sape links still work

I would advice you to keep the subscription for quiet a bit to see some effect.

I don't think Sape links are effective after latest penguin 2.1 update. I can hardly see any top ranking site with Sape links now.

In some of the niches which i track, sites with private blog network links are dominating now.

    I have to agree.

I can see some of my competitors ranking with less than 30 links and most of them are exact anchor text which really has me confused. One of them is literally position 1 page 1 with 30 exact match anchors on non contextual pages… WTF. lol

Sape works fine as long as you diversify the anchors in a smart way and your provider does a good job.

I've had experience with Sape previously but had slowly cancelled off the links as I saw tractions in climbing up. I think it still works but the number of links needed to be at optimum amount, too little it will not have effect, too much will get the site flagged off. The challenge I faced was to drip-feed the links as most of the providers do not do this - and you couldn't know for sure if they do it if they promise. Can I ask how do you overcome this?

The logical reasoning for this is that Google is constantly devaluing sape links. Sape links used to almost all carry its true PR value, but more and more sites are being hit, so the number of full value per link you get is getting smaller and smaller.

For example, a year ago if you bought 100 sape links, at least 90 of them were giving full link value. Now I'm sure out of every 100 links, only around 30-50 are any good.

SAPE links seem to work great, for negative SEO.

Unless you operate churn and burn style sites, then it can work.

Just make your own account, what you need providers for? It's really not that hard to get into that. The thing is that u'll need to watch some russian videos like x10 times to get how the market place operate there, and also Google cant translate ALL of the text cuz there are graphic buttons, in that case youll need a virtual russian keyboard and 30 mins to translate those buttons (just like 6 of them)

Anyway I think cutting the middle man is best.

Has anyone tried if SAPE works for brand new web sites as well (if to use it correctly)? What I've heared it's now easier to rank with only one blast of high PR links.

Just curious - and how sape links are different than blog network?
In fact sape is just platform - there are thousands of sites participating this network?
