EMD for 5 words Key phrase?

Just found some golden keyword with 5 words + 2000 exact US search volume. Emd is available too. its something like: How to XXX XXX XXX

So, EMD is so long and looks like a garbage for me lol... what do u think? Should I go for it? Or Should I go without the "How To" part?

I wouldn't waste time on this.

Although EMD's have partly influenced SERP again since last update (very slightly) - a 5 word EMD aint going to stay on page one ever.

I used to have a dozen or so Adsense related sites that were EMDs with less words and they have almost all dropped off the face of the earth.

In terms of %influence on EMD's here is a snapshot so you can see how irrelevant they are (less than 2% contribution to rankings)

I agree. I wouldn't put a lot of time into this. Keep in mind that its usually many small things that go into making a site rank well (an EMD being one of them). If a marginal increase in rankings is going to mean people are annoyed because your URL is too long to read or looks incredibly spammy, I would skip it.
