How to cover hosting cost for tube site?

I run a Adult tube site which gets 20 000 uniqes a day, and the hosting costs is $230 a month, the problem is that ads don't generate enough money to cover the cost, Can you tell me anything that can help me cover server costs?

What are you currently doing with it?
Take a look at already established porn tubes: youporn, redtube, etc..

How did you promote your website to have that many viewers?

Well, I tried doing what they do, but it was not worth it, I get that many visitors because the site is high quality and people link to it, I also get Hong Kong and Turkish traffic which I have no way of making money of. Is there anyway to profit from Hong Kong or Turkish traffic?

cut down your costs 230$ sounds like too much ( i got a tube site within that range and pay waay less).

If you really get that much traffic from turkey & hong kong, you should look into region specific ads and then use geoIP redirects etc to serve the right ads (and cpas).

Maybe give us an estimation abotu your traffic, how many GB/month do you use ?

If all else fails you could try to sell the site, with that much traffic a day you might be surprised what you can get for it.

How do you sell it? I have not a clue, but research it.

whats your website?? i can help you. im running a tube site too and i make alot in my ad placements and it depents where your traffic coming from..

You should be making more then that with that kind of traffic. Maybe see that value of selling it and see what kind of offers you get. Best of luck

You have a lot of people that trust your site. That's good. Unless you're trading traffic, this is a good base. The first step to monetization is to build a relationship with them. Here's what I would do in your situation:

Step 1: Go to Yahoogroups and create differing groups based on differing niches. Example: Asian, Ebony, Amateur, Boobs, etc.

Step 2: Create an email capture ad on your pages--use text (banners usually convert for shit) that is specific to that section of your tube site. Collect the email using Yahoogroups.

Step 3: After some time, your groups will have thousands of people in each subsection. Send them updates of your tubes that are specific to their tastes. Also include in the email some helpful content that is specific to the niche for that email.

This will bring them back to your site for specific clicks.

Step 4: Send ads in the emails along with site update links. Use only ads from sponsors that don't jack their members with cross sales.


Keep the conversation going. You worked hard to get that traffic so use email as a way to maintain a relationship with your site's readers.
