Malicious Emails....HELP !
HELP!
It looks like someone has been sending out emails to "a few" people on my email list (friends) and using my primary email address.
When you click on the link....my antivirus program blocks and says a trojan horse virus is attached to that link.
What can i do to stop this?
How did this happen?
The links sometimes go to virus sites. What can i do to stop this?

Hey Dr.
Not sure what you mean. No one else uses my computer.
Are you saying that i should change my password that allows me to get my email?

Re: Malicious Emails....HELP !
I'd recommend that you check your system for malware. Then also see if your email client has a function that will notify you everytime you are logged in. Like Dr.Pepper said, change your password using a different machine.

thanks Zero,
So....you are saying change my password that controls my email account....CORRECT?
PS
Like i said, someone has been sending out emails using my email address as the "from" to "a few" of my friends. The message sent is simply "a link" to a malicious website address.
PSS
I have two computers on my network...but i only use 1 to send emails. Can i use the other to change the password?

Re: Malicious Emails....HELP !
Try to search your main system for keylogger .etc
Make sure u also allow to search in hidden files and folders!

Re: Malicious Emails....HELP !
I understand that a lot of people prefer to use free tools such as avast. But I have found from past experiences that paying for a internet security suit such as kaspersky or mcafee ends up being a good investment.
