I just started to create niche sites and I found one nice niche.
It have 3600 exact search and cpc 5.37$!
There was exact match domain available too so I just bought it.
I just uploaded 5 unique articles to site and thatīs all what I did. No backlinks etc because site is not ready yet.
That was about week ago.
Today I added that site and keywords in traffictravis because I was about to start backlink campaing and I was like wtf when I saw that site already ranked.
My main keyword is 2 place and other keyword is place 5 in google

So, it is possible to rank niche easily even without backlinks if you have right niche.

Let see how fast I will get place 1 after backlinks.

EMDs will continue to work as long as they show quality over time.
In your case, it's too early to say. I would start building more content and backlinks ASAP, or your dream will stop very soon.

I hope the ranking stays but usually new sites rank for some time then come down a bit. I suggest keep adding content.

After the EMD penalty update last year, Google is pushing more EMD's to the 1st page and "most" of them have crappy content.

EMD penalty is just due to the rubbish content, if your content is unique with good bounce rate then your website ranked well, but small and quality link building is essential.

Yes, I will add more content to site. Actually that niche is very easy to work. Itīs hard to explain because I donīt know right words but there is one very popular niche and under that lot of smaller niches (I have one of those smaller niches). So there is lot of content what I can add, actually I think it will be authority site one day
Someone ask how much money I make, No answer to that question yet I just added adsense to site.

Now I have to find more niches like that, my goal is make 10 sites with adsense

I dont suppose you considered if the domain you bought was previously owned by someone else who optimized it? This happened to me I bought a domain [name of town]taxi.com that had been owned for a decade by someone who had [nameofthattown]everything.com and links had been built purposely and naturally to it for a decade+ I looked into it the woman got sick dropped some domains and I just happened to buy a domain that already had links pointing to it.

2 - EMD was never punished. All Google did was decreasing it's value in the ranks. So, all sites that relied only on EMD for ranking have dropped
3 - Your success isn't a real surprise for me. One of the most effective ways of analyzing a keyword compeition is looking for EMD Available. If yes, It usually means there is actually no competition for this keyword. Most sites that are ranking are because they are authority and they ranked by accident . So, in most cases good on page optimisation would give you a sweet position. Imagine creating a domain solely for this keyword
4 - Now all you need 3 - 5 high pr rank links and some social signals and you are good to go
