Very bad times for me! I just completely lost my bread and butter in EMDs and now in recent update. I am trying to build new websites but you know it will take time to get traffic. Please suggest me some methods which can generate some sure money for me until i get my business going again. Please only online methods, no McDonald, Pizza huts.....

If you wanna bank from pages, you only have 1 way. Authority.
And when I mean auth, i dont mean 20k words so you can rank; I mean USER EXPERIENCE and quality work, good marketing strategies and email extraction.

If you have made some money and you have some knowledge, move on with PPC, it'll make you some nice cash if you know what you are doing.

Some EMD domains are still ranking in Bing and yahoo, so don't want to throw them cheap but they are not giving me anything anyhow.

I wouldn't say EMDs don't work at all.. I still have a couple of sites going strong.

But yeah, like Reyone said above, if you want to make real money from your site, make it an authority website that the users in your niche look up to.
Thin sites with little to no content and crappy structure will more than likely be penalized eventually and you'll lose your income.

As to your question about methods,
There are quite a few you can try. Take a look at this thread and you'll find a lot of them.
Just make sure you don't put all your eggs in one basket this time and diversify your income sources enough so that if one of them goes down, you don't lose your bread and butter

Freelancing is the only option. You can try Fiverr. If you have any special skill then you can sell it there. Once you make good cash from Fiverr reinvest in building more sites but this time try to diversify. You can even make quick EMDs now and sell them off and reinvest that money into PPC.

EMD wasn't slapped - it was partially levelled.
Get some onsite authority with content, and offisite with good inbound links. Context sensitire in terms of content and site placement, content diverse, anchor text diverse and platform diverse - built over time.

Links will still beat onsite content. It's not as "link centric" as it was say 2 years ago, but good links still beats all for Google.

Scritty, dont you think the recent update involved something to do with TLD specific backlinks? Because one of my .co.uk domains have moved down in position on google.co.uk but is number 1 on google.com.

Should, some kind of data entry jobs like microworker would work? I know they are low level jobs.

While this is true, they cost less time and money and are easier to rank. I mostly use thin crappy sites these days and only about 5 big sites, as when a thin crappy site gets hit, I have many spare in the background ready to be pushed. Sometimes I feel bad when one of my good crappy sites get hit, but not as bad as I did when I got a high earning forex site which took me years to do got hit.

Move on now and try to get things working again. Also don't fully rely on SEO, that's the biggest lesson I have learnt.

Earn money through freelancer (freelancer.com is only for spammers and scammers,avoid them)or fiverr or other works that you are good

Suggest some combination like dating affiliate + Craiglist etc, that can generate sure traffic and leads. Less is not the problem!

I am sorry it happened. But you have to be the one to determine what you are going to do for a living and how you will make money. You will never succeed in IM if you have to ask people how to make money. IM takes a lot of hard work, determination, and patience to search endless hours until you find something that works.

Man, most of affordable ppc networks is a waste of time and money - either traffic volumes for profitable keywords are pathetic or the traffic is junk. Sometimes ppc or ppv networks just steal profitable keywords from you - how does that sound?

EMDs will continue to work if they are not having just 8-10 pages.
I wouldn't give up if I were you.
There many backlinking packs offered here on BHT which were able to recover websites from Panda, Penguin and so on.

My bet will be on:

a) Hire a freelancer to write you 1 post/day for each website
b) Find some serious ( not fiverr) backlinking system, pay them and wait for the results.

Try with 1 website. It will cost you less than $150.00 and you might recover your entire business.

The OP should now maybe sit down and digest them. Make a decision.
Whatever fits your personality. No good being a VA if you can't do it, Getting on fiverr with a gig that actually gets people buying is hard unless you offer something different of have a way to "game" your first 5 or 10 thumbs up approvals - and that will cost money.
Adding content to your EMD, and then adding decent links over time might get your website back up.
But for now - i'd sit back and consider your own strengths and weaknesses and take action based on what you ca do and like doing and will make you cash.

EMDs do still work, I was referring to MNS.
I mean, at the end of the day, whether it is a microniche or an EMD or both, it doesnt matter, what matters, as several users have already pointed out is your content, user experience and overall quality. Of course, you'll need to have loads of content. Aim for 10k+ words.

The reason why people say EMD MNS dont work anymore is simply because a MNS tends to have very little content, just picture it out, "buy printer ink", you tell me how the hell you are going to provide good a lots of quality content about that topic...

On the other hand if you have a microniche site such as "Goalkeeping techniques" you might have tons of things to talk about and you could probably make an outstanding site with loads of videos, tips, and other relevant content.

MNS is just a word, tends to be thought as low amounts of content sites; however, as the word says, a micro niche is located within a niche, hence if you have loads to talk about within this micro niche you can still provide super useful content and information which will be valued by many.

At last just to say that EMDs are still great, they go to the point and they reflect your topic to the best extent. Google used to give "extra power" to EMDs before, G does not do this anymore, but this doesn't mean that an EMD is not good, it is great...
