Negative SEO - Need Advice, Please help!
Hey guys,
So, I was quite happy with ranking my niche site for a good enough keyword. I'm in top 3 for my target terms. Someone has now blasted my site with my main keyword. 100s of PR2,PR3 and PR4 russian homepage/footer links all with my main anchor text. I'm afraid that my ranks are going to drop soon. Is there a way to fight back? Is there a way I can still keep my current ranks? Any suggestions/help is really appreciated.
Thanks!

Make a shitload of links with diverse anchor text to dilute them.
I love this place!

Agreed, build lots of links now with other keywords and also your website url and you may well end up at no.1!!
Edit: Actually this would not work long term. The site is fucked unless you can use the disavow tool and it actually works. Persoanally i rather have nothing to do with G Webmaster and i would be preparing a backup site now just in case or looking at another niche as i know some big hitters who neg seo the competition in highly valuable niches and nothing you can really do about it.

Why would someone waste time and money and give you anchor text backlinks from russian homepage footer links if all he could do is run scrapebox on your website?

Negative SEO shows its impact much faster than mainstream SEO.
As you have already noticed the links, I guess those links were created some time back.
If your site hasn't been impacted till now, your enemy isn't good enough even at negative SEO.
.
I wouldn't worry much about it now.
Anyway, whatever has to happen will happen.

Re: Negative SEO - Need Advice, Please help!
Dont just build a shit load of links in very short period of time.
Build high quality links, dont use your main keyword as anchor but articles should establish that it is about your keyword. then just mention a variation of your url {myurl.com|www.myurl.com|http://myurl.com} as source or suggest it as related blog or article.
building so much links just for the sake of diluting your anchors can be dangerous especially if you are getting links from shitty source or sites, it will just give you more harm than benefits.
So far from my experience, authority sites are more immune from neg seo, so you just have to make your site a sort of authority. Again, Get links from high quality sources, and add some content, if possible 1 article per day to your money site, word count varies from 300 to 1000.
Then use disavow tool for those unwanted links.

Not sure man. I see over 700 PR2, PR3 and even PR4 links. These websites are mostly .ru. They have viagra, cialis, porn, casino links at homepage footers as well. The guy must have bought them from somewhere and might remove all of them once my site has dropped in ranks! 2 days ago, I was having about 611 referring domains in ahrefs.com as backlinks, and now I have over 1300!
Is there a way I could still battle this? Maybe buy more pr links with different anchors? Will that help? How should I handle this huge link blast?
Karma is a bitch, I'm sure the guy who did this will suffer himself as well!

Actually there might be a very effective method to doing this but i would not want to reveal the reasons as might help others thinking about doing Neg SEO.

I'd try using Google's disavow tool as well as what's mentioned above. At least it will 'show' that you're doing something to combat it, if that makes sense.

The best way to tackle nseo is to scrape as many competing websites email addresses and email them stating you know it was them, and if it does not stop you will blast their site.

I'm quite certain that's actually the worst way to do it
There's no best way IMO, only ways preferred by OP. I'd go after extremely high quality links coming from authority sites in your niche, ask, beg their owners for a guest post, send them the highest quality article you ever created and when (if?) they publish it, this "negative seo" campaign you had been targeted with will actually help a ton with your efforts to rank even higher than before. And I'd also do a press release campaign, but not the usual $20 one of course, but one that's actually worth something! (These start from $200 btw) I hope I could help, cheers.

Well I am quite certain it is how I got my sites from stop being blasted
But then again maybe it would have been better if I let them continue. But I am not here trying to promote my own high pr links service.

Re: Negative SEO - Need Advice, Please help!
700 links doesn't sound very much to me when you can easily buy gigs on Fiverr for blasts of 10k. If i was going to neg SEO anyone, i wouldn't be doing it with 700 links, that's for sure. You have more chance helping the site rather than penalising it.
In terms of what to do, monitor your anchor text diversity. If you now have quite a low anchor text diversity, build more links with different anchor texts, branded anchors and generic anchors. A few decent press releases (there's one on this forum that i have used a couple of times which I get roughly 100 newswires pick up my press release) with branded anchors and a couple of more specific anchor texts should help to balance it out. Build other links too obviously. Make sure you power up these links that you build otherwise they won't balance anything up. You could use the disavow tool but i would try balancing out the links first
