Hi,
My ip has been blacklisted for spam even though ive done no spamming, i dont even have an email list lol so its mind baffling.
Anyway how do i go about changing my IP address i have virgin broadband and i connect through a router.
If i phone up will they be able to change it? Ive tried google but lots of people are saying i may have to wait till it expires? wtf?

You can try mac address change.
Go to your routers settings and see where is there mac address clone option.

Are you able to bypass router and connect directly. i meant can you remove router temporarily.

Just call virgin and tell them to change it for you or at least tell you how to do it. You have nothing to be ashamed.

I called them and they said that my routers lan and wan ip cant be changed? So i said what are you telling me ive got to remain blacklisted? what is this bullshit

Yes do this. I had Be There broadband and the IP lease times were forever.
You have to turn of the router, wait for the lease time to expire, then if someone else turns on their router, they may be assigned your old IP address, and you will get a new one.

Really? why didnt their support mention this? they said there is absolutely no way it can be changed
