Default 301 redirect to save PR?

So I have got this domain, let's say it's about blue widgets. May I redirect it to a new domain, where I'm planning to make a website about red widgets (different niche) in order to save PR ? Or google will perceive my new domain/site as a site about blue widgets.

    Thanks :P

It would be semi-relevant, but you would obviously do better if you were redirecting a more relevant domain. My question to you would be why are you redirecting the domain in the first place, that is to say, what are you trying to accomplish?

Yes most of the link juice should flow through. Also note penalties do not pass

Because it's stupid name, like blsomething.info. I have acquired PR1 though, I don't know why exactly because I didn't build many links but some high PR site linked to the domain. I didn't even check backlinks
