Okay, I'm not looking for anything other than ONE Fukin way I can get on craigs using a proxy. Am I the only one who is unable to post or sometimes even get the site up when I use a proxy?
If I use ghostsurf I can't even get the site up. Online proxies are useless as well, I can sometimes access the site but when it comes time to post an ad, zero. I know a lot of people use tor and I probably should have it but is it the same with tor also?

Or should I just say fuck it and post using my own ip?

I use TOR and works fine for me

tor wont work either. i would forget using a proxy and just use your ip address, but dont post more than 10 ads with that ip address a day. and wait a few minutes, 2 minimum, between posting ads.

if you need to post a lot more than that, use a dial up and disconnect and reconnect periodically

Okay, thanks for the suggestion gts. I'm just starting with craigs and want to test it out so there's no way i'll be posting more than a few ads/day.

When I used to post to craigslist I would dial up with aol and use that - disconnected every now and a then to reset the ip address.

Since I kept AOL for the kids - I had it. But I'd assume even cheap dial up services reset the IP frequently right?

I just wondered: do you have to have an account to post? I've posted legit stuff on cl before without that.

if tor works for you, then you are the about the only person it works for.

tor is pretty well known by many people not to work.

i know from my experiences with it, i personally NEVER have gotten it to work. every ad posted with it had been ghosted.

I agree gts, and don't most sites know who all the annonymous proxies are anyway by now? And, wondering if you need to use an acct at cl to post or just go without?

it doesnt really matter too much with having an account or not. that wont really make much of a difference in the amount of ads that will show up, if it does, it will be slight.

but having an account will allow you to track your ads later so you can easily see which ones have been flagged, expired, etc.

okay, i have a little ad running and using gmail autoresponder. the replies are all going to "bounce-anon-mygmailaddy=gmail.com@craigslist.org.

Is that normal?

well fuck that..i got 5 replies in 2 minutes and then flagged.

getting flagged is all part of the gamble of doing CL. no one can prevent that because there are always gonna be users that feel it is their duty to flag you as soon as you send them anything with a link in it, even without reading it. shit, some assholes just go around flagging posts for the hell of it for no reason other than they are bored.

yeah i know. i'm wondering if it's some other BH mofo like me just flagging "competition"
