Buying an email list off Fiverr - Is it worth it?
Look, before we get into this I want to make clear that I am not a complete noob to internet marketing and know that if you want to have a successful email list, you MUST have an opt-in for each email address.
I also already know that most of you are going to say that this is not a good idea, waste of money, etc.
But let's just say.....
I decided to go against your guys' advice and bought an email list of 9,000,000 off of Fiverr. For $5? Doesn't sound like too bad of an investment to me. And 9,000,000 emails? That is a hell of a lot! Even if the emails I send them would be sent to their spam folders, do you honestly think that not ONE person on that email list would not buy the product/service that I am promoting, if the email list had a targeted niche?
It just seems to me that even if every single email I sent to this list would end up in their spam folder, having a list of 9,000,000 people would surely generate at least some sales?
I would love to hear your feedback on this......

Can't hurt, if it doesn't work out, get your $5 back

Re: Buying an email list off Fiverr - Is it worth it?
A few days ago someone from gigbucks sold a lot of facebook emails and its turned into a fiasco. And frankly speaking I doubt there is much quality in a list for only 5$.

Re: Buying an email list off Fiverr - Is it worth it?
The key to succesful email marketing IMO is a good list, as in good quality, targetted.
9 mil emails? for $5? I'd say its all fake or spammed to death. Don't think that this will just cost you $5, you have to pay for each email you send, so 9 mil * $0.0001 (or whatever your price is) is $9000 .

You already answered your own question
For $5, it can't hurt, can it! Just that if you're using a mailing software like Mailchimp or something (which I guess is what you'll use since you can't send 900000 mails through your email client!), it'll probably end in banning your account owing to too many people clicking on Spam (if they do).
A good thread with a nice thought! Fortifies my opinion that Fiverr is making the whole outsourcing industry go Kaput

Interesting. Could you explain this a bit more in detail? I've never heard about anything like this before.

Ahh! Never do it..
The price of 9Mil emails is clearly shouting the quality of the list. I bet, no one will gonna buy else he would not be selling it for $5 and would keep on blasting them with different aff offers.

Why don't you send out an email and see how it goes, since you already know what will happen and what we are gonna say. Try it and wish some luck on sales

Just don't include the link to your site since it can hurt your SEO results

Re: Buying an email list off Fiverr - Is it worth it?
I think this is a very bad idea. You already knew in your OP some posters would try to talk you out of it. You don't know where that list came from, and whether or not they are targeted leads. Think about it would you give away the e-mails your absolute best customers for a $5? Not to mention CANN SPAM if that's of any concern to you...
