Been seeing people talking about these .ru links over the forum recently - whats the deal?? I got a site at the moment on a competitive arena. that needs to be kept up on the front page - anyone who could help me would be much appreciated - i need the best of the best in SEO and will pay good $$$ for whoever can do it!

Sounds like some russian network of sites that you get backlinks from. That alone should tell you not to do it.

^^^ Some say those are from sape.ru and other .ru networks.

the .ru backlinks are on ACTUAL PR pages and are dirt cheap if you are in the network. Lots of the heavy hitters in the competitive niches have been seen using them to great success.
