Default How to protect yourself if using blog network?

Lately I have been using private blog networks for most of my linkbuilding as they carry the most weight. I seen another thread on here where it says that g00gle is finding these networks and deindexing them. Its not that hard for them to find them really and we know that. What happens if they start to punish websites that are using them? Do you guys think that links from blogs are going to start carrying less weight? I know myself I am going to try to diversify much more even if it doesnt pack as much juice...just incase shit hits the fan...

i think the best solution is link diversity... blog networks are great but there's more to seo than that. If a network does get hit expect your sites to get slapped really hard.

If you're only using one type of link then anyone and everyone can see that's your manipulating your links and that would be the same as having directory links, bookmarks

As said above, mix those links else your wasting your money, plus your making it harder for your competition to follow you

We own loads of sites and not a single one has been deindexed, ever

I think this goes along the lines of the SB concerns. If they start punishing links on these networks then we can go buy hundreds of network links from fiverr and put our competition on them with even worse spun content and sit back and watch them drop.

What I am thinking is that they simply will take away the value of these links which means if you have not other links then you will indeed disappear or drop.

    Like others said diversify everything.

    Yea diversity is key.

Technically if you see BIG rank increases when using a blog network service, you stand to lose big rank increases if they get a bunch of blogs deindexed.

Blog network owners need to be very careful with their networks these days. The devil is in the details. If you keep your links diversified, and the networks are careful with their content and avoiding footprints, you should be fine.
